I finally got my first tattoo this year! It's a small colourful lavender flower on my forearm in the style of old botanical books. I've been toying for years with different ideas and locations but I'm glad this was my first. It's simply that lavender is my favourite flower, nothing deep. It was a huge disappointment for my family but I couldn't love it more ☺️

I relate to this so much. I got my first tattoo in 2022 and it was a daisy because it's my favourite flower. Took me 4 years from wanting it to getting it, and I just got my second tattoo with 4 months from idea to getting it.

I think postponing is a wonderful idea! The way I cackled at "Obviously... I did not get them done in Denmark. ☕" I have eight tattoos and will probably hit ten next year. I got two this year, Spyro and Sparx because why not 💜 and a small star in the shape of the letter t for my dog, Tobias, that passed away earlier this year. Pretty much all of them are different styles, but I love them. I do worry about when I add more if they will all look good together. Yours look amazing! Gives me hope that mine will go together that seamlessly. 🖤

I got the tops of feet tatted this year, utterly in love with the design and how it came out. Oh howdy that was by far the most painful tattoo I've ever gotten. More than coloring my kneecap, more than my biggest piece. 3 hrs and I was about to tap about. I've sat for 8 hrs before on my thigh no problem. So worth the pain and itching, I feel confident in all my steps

In 2022 I got my first tattoo in almost 20 years! Got my previous tattoos quite young and didn’t think them through as much or research the right artist. I’m so glad I waited and found the right person for my recent tattoo which is in memory of my Grandmas! I love it and the pain wasn’t as bad as I remembered!

I had a similar story! I was also recently getting tattooed and someone else in the shop was getting their second tattoo after 10 years! My tattoo artist says it's really common. People want that first tattoo and sometimes don't make the best decisions. Then they wait a while and make some better decisions one a bit older :)

I hadn't got any new tattoos in maybe 4 years until November, I got a super cute snail added to a insect/cute bug sleeve I've been working on for years. Finally found an artist who seems to actually enjoy working on it rather than others I've used that just seem to not care. Annoyingly i reacted weird to this tattoo (likely because of meds I'm on) and I had a horrible cellulitis infection and MRSA. Kind of scared me off getting more but I'm booked for a full day next year 😬😬

I got my first two tattoos this year and I love love love them. The first one is a quite big leafy twig thing that kind of wraps around my lower leg and it hurt a lot. My second one is just a small-ish symbol on my upper arm that contains all the letters in the Swedish alphabet, and while it didn’t hurt nearly as much, I almost fainted when I got it 😅 Will definitely get more though!

I got a tiger on my right calf a few years ago, because it's my favorite animal in the whole world. Since then, I really wanted to get other tattoos, but I didnt knew what. So I waited until I was sure of what I wanted. At the end of march, I'm gonna get 4 little tattoos on my arms: a night butterfly, un sunflower, my birth year and a bee. I'm sooo excited to get them!

I finally got my left calf complete! I have the Hobbit house front and centre, I got Jack and Sally on the left portion and I got a Jackdaw with a Welsh flag flying though pine trees on the right part :) its taken many years (had the bird and flag for years, never completed it) but I felt strong enough this year to fix it and make it a leg sleeve xD

I got one tattoo done this year back in early February. It is literally the single most expensive diabetic medical alert I've had done but, I don't have to worry about losing it (unless my right forearm gets cut off or the skin gets 3rd degree burns in which case I'll have bigger problems other than losing my "insulin dependent diabetic" alert and the puzzle piece that the medical alert was arranged to encircle as a nod to me being on the Autism spectrum). I'm not sure when I will get my other two desperately needed medical alerts done (steroid dependent adrenal insufficiency and also dysautonomia) but first, I have to have carpal tunnel release surgery and a fix done for the ulnar nerve impingement on/at my left wrist and healing from those can take 9 months or more and I don't need healing tattoos AND healing surgical procedures to overload my body and send me into a mix of ill behaving repeated low blood sugar and an adrenal crisis (one of the symptoms being blood sugar tanking and the rest resembling being in shock).

These are tattoos I was dying to get (be it because of the pattern or the artist) and I was planning on getting pregnant in the near future so I rushed to have them all done haha. I got a portrait of Hauru and Sophie, on each arm, looking at each other ; a set of bloody vampire teeth around one of my knees, a powerpuff girl (grumpy Buttercup, because apparently I look like her when I pout :') ) just above that so inner thigh (the healing process hurt like a b*tch) and an autumnal maple leaf and a bell, in a Japanese style above the other knee. Filled me with joy, I love them. I'm currently pregnant so I just can't wait to be able to get tattooed again T_T it's an addiction haha

All of my tattoos, I got this year! The last one I got is a fish. I thought "I want a fish" and went to get it and then I thought "why did I get that" and I don't know how I feel about the placement, but I'm glad i got it. I love my fish, and it's a rainbow trout.

I don't have any tats but have been thinking about getting a small mourning cloak butterfly on the back of my neck. My father passed 9.5 years ago and on the one year anniversary of his death I lit a candle, held his image and told him how much I miss him. Then a week later, I had an experience when I saw a mourning cloak butterfly dancing around me as I was leaving the house. Every year since a week before the anniversary of his death I see this butterfly. Somehow no one else is around when I see it. I thought about getting it as if my father has my back.

This year I got a sea turtle after swimming with turtles off the coast of Mexico, my Daughters name, and my husband’s initial in script. Last year I got a sunset scene with a sailboat, and lots of old school flowers as filling. I am saving for a bumble bee with wild flowers (on my chest) that I am having done next summer on a trip to visit family in another province, can’t wait🥰

Off this video's topic, but your idea of nude art in the bathroom had inspired me to do something similar. A local cement artist makes planters out of busts and I acquired a female buttock and mens' abdomen and groin planters. Thanks for the inspo! I almost had a female torso, but it was already sold by the time I wanted it.

I started my leg Tattoo journey this year! My first tattoo is Lisa Simpson choking Bart Simpson & my brother got Bart Simpson choking Lisa Simpson. I do love that my first ever tattoo was a funny sibling tattoo with my brother. Much love. Question- how do you decide what all you want? Do you come in with several ideas/references or pick from flash concepts? Or do you let the artist weigh in? I’m curious because I love this idea of booking for several hours to fill in areas

If I have a concept as an idea I usually give the artist free reign to design the piece, but I draw many the filler tattoos I get done, or I use flash from the artist 👏✨

Oh dear! If you're feeling dizzy it probably means that you haven't eaten enough, make sure to eat lots of filling, carb-heavy foods before your appointment and take snacks you can munch on while you're there. Tattooing is draining for the body so keeping it replenished is important! 😊

I love your tattoo motives. They're funny, cute and very pretty! I especially like the Bulbasaur and Morty😁 I haven't gotten any tattoo done this year but I plan on getting one next year or in 2024. Either something with Sailor Moon (I have two Sailor moon-themed tattoo since before) or Ponyo and Squirtle together in one tattoo😄 I also have a small feminist/women's symbol and Snorkmaiden done earlier. The feminist symbol was my first, 2018. I really wanted to get a tattoo but I wanted to start small just to see how it feels + I'm really passionate about feminism. The year after that I did Snorkmaiden because I really love Moomin in general. I've read all the books and I love Snorkmaiden. I did my Sailor Moon tattoos in 2020 and 2021. One is Sailor Moon and Luna, the other one is her moon-wand and one of her brooches. I identify a Lot with Usagi. Our feelings show very clearly and we cry easily. Filled with emotions haha. But we're strong and we can make it through whatever. I also see it as a symbole of feminism😊 Ps. Love your channel😁

I got my first tattoo about 12 years ago. It's a flower on the top of my foot and around my angle which hurt like a MF. My second tattoo i got was 6 years ago right after my husband died. It's a beautifull thistle on my left under arm. Hands and neck and illegal, it stems from a old law that was meant to make sure that soldiers were all looking alike, today it’s just a outdated law that is somehow enforced despite a majority of the population would be okay with abolishing it 😩

I have 5 Tattoos and one is just awful. I got it with 18 and it is birds shadows but they look like croissants and are way too big... All others are fucking great but I will 100% laser the birds and get them redone.

Lovely tattoos!! I've been wondering and trying to research (but mostly failing) the impact of the actual ink. Like how is it made and even what is it made of. I got two pretty big tattoos done in 2019 and I don't regret it but it is a little weird that I can't seem to find almost any information about something that is stuck on my body forever... Does anyone have any pointers to places to read about tattoo ink? 🪴
