I don't understand why the wife of the murdered boyfriend wants to press the maximum sentence of 50 yrs for your brother when he continued to cheat on her. And I think if your brother and you got a lawyer your brother would not be serving that long. This story is keeping me up all night because I feel so bad for that young man who has such bright future. I disagree @yangthao5242. They just 2:40 t let the court system decide his fate. Of course, a life is precious, but I feel like being a minority, without a good criminal defense attorney, the court just gonna throw him the longest sentence possible except life. Now, if they were to just hire an attorney, the attorney can lighten the sentence for maybe 10-15 yrs, being the short, or 20-25 years being the long. He did admit to his wrong and didn't run away and he can be so angry, he can mentally not think straight... all kinds of defense see the attorney can come up with. He would still have a life but 50 yrs is just too long for just letting the court decide. In this country there many cases of people not serving that long for killing others or going free even if they got money. Nobody really cares for lawyers but they do come in handy in times like this. The court system listens to lawyers. I still do think the brother would have gotten a lesser sentence with a lawyer.
