I actually have a funny tabletop story involving a Tau player and my astra militarum army. They were rolling to hit with a marker light from a drone and mistakenly followed up his successful "hit" roll of 6 with a "wound" roll and got a 6, out of instinct I absently mindedly rolled a 5+ flak armor save and rolled a 2 and removed a random guardsman as a casualty. Only for us both to realize our mistake when an observer started laughing then we all had a laugh about it, I kept the guardsman out of play as a casualty and thus began the legend of Petty officer fourth class Billy Williamson from the 11th Kracian sea guard and his death via marker light headshot.... Emperor rest his soul

Many within the Ordo Xenos believe that the Tau are a relatively minor threat compared to the other hostile xenos race, and while that may be true in the sense of military strength they are growing in power with the security of aliens alliance and territorial gain. Give them two hundred years of peace and they will gain ten times strength they once had, and the Imperium can ill afford this to happen.

Honestly, while the Tau empire is currently growing at a snail's pace (atleast it's actually expanding unlike some others) the moment these guys figure out a faster way of space travel they could potentially do some serious damage, especially if they manage to allie with other smaller xenos empires like the Q'orl.

Well, snail pace because they only had 100 worlds, they already nearing 200, just give it time and they'll grow exponentially

@@michelecastellotti9172 Actually it was stated that they had way more than 100 worlds at the end of the 2nd expansion, durring the 3rd expansion they conquared more planets than the 1st and 2nd expansion combined and they also made decent gains both durring the 4th and 5th expansion pluss they did took over other planets in between large expansions. At this point I'd say they probably have around 500 worlds like Ultramar, the reason why they still look small on the map compared to it it's because their Empire is concentrated instead of being spread out

I'm interested in Tau but I had a hard time connecting this one because it lacks your usual strong narrative. I can't be sure, but it sounds like you're just reading the two pages of narrative from the codex so this feels like a whole lot of exposition instead of your usual great storytelling.

That’s exactly what these are. The time lines are just from the codices. They add context. But I do ‘light work’ on Mondays. I can’t do massive entries three times a week as I already di about 50-70 hours or more a week. Few - very few - have all the codices. So I do these things as light bites. It’s also in the description and pinned comment.
