The victory score system should consider caused casualities and lower the effect of had casualities. Once had a game as fasist Netherlands and got 1% of the victory score as I got like 10k casualities, didn't conquer almost anything, but caused 15 mil casualities on the allies, who kept invading my veterans designed to defend.

Off the top, you were trying to build up your Congressional support and increase your factory output at the same time. Paying farm subsidies does increase your support, but it also increases consumer goods which takes away from your building. Even though it costs more political power, it is better to just go with the medium lobbying effort. You get twice the effect so have to be in that mode for less time.

You should have closed historical ai man, that would spice things a lot, one of my favorite gameplay runs are democratic USA with historical ai off. You always feel on edge and mobilization means something.

My last run as the US ended up with France declaring war on me and sending troops to Navally Invade me, which led to them killing everything they had and making a counter invasion so much more enjoyable. France's biggest mistake was trying to endlessly invade Charleston.

Save haven, haven is the dutch word for harbour. I dont know if the words are conected historical but there is a chance for britain and the netherlands were allies and enemies and used to be both naval powers

Personally I dont build civs as USA, just mils and get those guns, arty, aa, support and planes going asap. Your ability to export so much gives you the civs you need to keep up building mils at a fast pace. Dont even build infrastructure until I need more resources. Same outcome but my troops are always supplied.

Britain and France would have left "the allies" now anyway, since you generated a huge amount of world tension. It's a problem I frequently run into when trying to play "the good guy Britain".

If you just kept the single stack of navy and used convey escort it would have worked better. You should never use patrol for naval invasions.

I have no idea if someone has done this before, but I came up with a strategy as Italy to beet Germany using pure politics and not attacking anyone or joining a faction. And I know you like politics so thought I would share. I start by decolonizing but you don't have to. Don't do a focus to save up political power. Asap justify on the USSR. World tension at 33% so uk will guarantee anyone you justify on. Next justify on Austria. Makes them more likely to refuse the anshlus. If they do, war w the allies before Germany can expand and get super powerful. If not, do the same on all the other countries Germany can get focus war goals on. Eventually Germany gets into war w the allies in way or another. If things are going really slow do the focus to take Albania. Uk will guarantee, they will refuse, and later Greece will invade and join the axis. In any case neither power can really win so early bc the allies start weak and Germany has been hindered, so once the USSR joins Germany gets squashed. I developed this for a multiplayer Germany v Italy game w a friend who was going for the Berlin Moscow axis which is what inspired it (make the alliance impossible to form by voiding the USSR at pease requirements) but it works on single player to. Tested it 3 times and once by buffing Germany all the way up. Worked perfectly each time. Tho I admit I was not playing historical focuses. They make the game to repetitive. Just defend that little tiny boarder in the Alps you have w Germany and wait for them to slowly die

Ah Taureor, you really need to learn at least the basics of navy! Two strong fleets on support naval invasion (one for each army) would have worked much better for the Japan operation than balanced taskforces. Segmented fleets get eaten by massed battlefleets like Japan and the UK. You can also prepare naval invasions in advance of declaring war:) esp vs japan when they're heavily invested in china it can massively speed things up.

@@s0larstuff775 No Problem I'm not sure there would be much of a point in him going full Fascist as the US since he already did the War Powers Act branch, unless he was to try and do something like put Adam Hilt in Power, then conquer all of Europe (he doesn't games with historical AI turned off, and even if he did, the odds of the event that lets Mr Hilt come to power firing off are really low to begin with, so that's not really an option) - if he was doing a world conquest for the US, he could just go Communist (he says he thinks the Communist branch is the best anyways). I guess he could do something in multiplayer if he did a challenge with some fans/other HOI4 KZbinrs (i.e., reverse ideologies - Fascist Allies vs Democratic Axis - once Italy gets a focus tree), but I'm having a hard time thinking of challenges he could do specifically for single player that would involve Fascist USA. On a side note, I'm kind of surprised he hasn't tried to go for the Imperial Ultra Federation (my nickname for the Imperial Federation formed with the Dominion of North America + South Africa and New Zealand having formed their formable nations, and then the UK having formed the EU - all done under Oswald Mosley), since I'm sure that's the largest formable nation you can form on single player other than Turan.

Challenge idea: eco friendly challenge. Pick a major nation (probably Germany or japan) and complete the focus tree/dominate the world in the most eco friendly manner possible. Eg: minimal factories, bikes instead of motorised, minimal ships etc. Pls like so Taureor can see.

​@@wow9279 It would depend on the nation, but I would say you would have to have a maximum number of factories that you aren't allowed to build over. The only way to get more after hitting max is to take over places.

It may be better to go to 21% communist support and get another 2 million manpower will full desegregation, then use the democratic guy and 2 anti-communist raids to get back to 5% (plus recover the -10% stability) and get the industry boosts from neutrality act, since by that time you will be shortly attacked anyway, which also gives you more time. Better industry, more manpower, stronger military.

Why did you put a full army group in the Philipines? You could've sent some of them to Vietnam after joining the Allies to split the supply, which would've ended up lowering the attrition.

I finally made it. Full democratic USA, grinded the whole tech tree in 1944. No WW2 (at least, not a real one, UK turned communist). I made an good army, I'm building up 3 fleets with modern ships. Air force have thousands of planes per type. I have also started producing nukes. Canada too turned commie. But, since I'm democratic, I had no means to attack it. I just conquered two times Mexico and this time I annexed it. First goal was that of rebuild the nation and its armed forces. Done. Second goal is unify North America: just need tension to reach 100% to declare war to those Canadians commies. Then it's done. Third goal is start conquering the world and forge it in a democratic world. There's a lot to do in Europe. Germany is turned into German Empire, UK is communist, France too. Russia (i used a mod to have Russian empire) have forged an alliance with the Chinese and Japanese. Japan is democratic and that help me avoiding annoying campaign in the pacific. I kept Australia and New Zealand democratic boosting that ideology in those countries. So now I just need 12 more armored divisions to finally end my army reform. And the world tension to reach 100%. I boosted a revolution in Russia and now Soviet Union is diverting the war from Germany (they was about to lose the war) so tensions reached finally 96%. I just need that 4% more. I guess I have to bost new revolutions randomly in my enemy countries. Then it will be finally ready to start a real war. But, meanwhile, it's 1953. 🤣🤣🤣 I wasted too much time.

Concentraded is way worse than dispursed. You would have bennifitted alot from dispursed. Also signal in infantry is not worth it at all. And stop building civs in 41
