Pre-Covid I would see gently used smiths in the local store for around $200 and screwed up by procrastinating. Now they're $100 more. Taurus seems to have come a long way especially with the G3 line. I'd be comfortable with either for home or range. Thanks for the video

I personally like the thumb safety my shield 9 has it.i like the extra safety and I'm real big on being safe

Went to range today with the sd9 ve I just bought and my g3 both shot well no issues but shot so much better with the g3. Awesome review by the way

What it really boils down to is new school vs old school shooters, old school os definitely the sd9ve, more defined and rugged.

Good review. I liked the detail. I found a Smith on sale a few weeks back and picked one up but in 40 cal. It's a good value for sure.

Bangor Punta Corporation, then the parent company of Smith & Wesson, purchased 87 percent of Forjas Taurus, in 1962. and believed Taurus was re-acquired in 1977? Over the years and I've been a Taurus owner since 1991 their quality control has been inconsistent and their customer service sucked, they tried making changes but there are still issues. With S&W their customer service has starting to go down hill. Why Taurus and others have one than one serial number? Country where they are made requires the major components to be serialized and this also helps the buyer that parts like the barrel and slide weren't replace due to wear or breakage.

The g3xl doesn’t have a safety I have the 40 s&w and the Taurus g3xl and my xl out performs the s&w all day!

SD9VE 🪶😴👑anyday known dirt devil and hollow eater new or used OTB eating everything but a HST will choke most ♉️G3/3C otb 🤣just gotta polish where the barrel ramp lip meets the frame,get both just MCK/G3🎒was best bag ready pdw
