He's scared because he refused to solve his own problems and instead burdened me with his inability to be an adult dragging me down for years until I was broken and bitter. Mental health issues he refused to treat even though he had all the resources. Became co dependent on me. Refused to leave the house or work always using mental health as an excuse. Wanted to be coddled and never be responsible for himself. Of course he wants someone else to solve all his problems for him instead of putting the work in himself. I coddled his mental health issues for years and got sick and tired of dealing with it. He put zero effort into getting better just made false promises. Gave an ultimatum he either fixes it or leaves and he chose to leave then said "is it really over" like yeah. I'm finally free! I don't want to uplift someone else for the rest of my life but uplift myself.
