I had the pt111 when they were still in the 300 range then my wife wanted one till later i got her the g2c in robbin blue egg. Their really nice guns an now steel sights. Id say if its even 350 id still buy this g3c to show support

Taurus, you guys really knocked it out of the park with the G series. I have a g2c and just bought the g3. I actually like shooting them more than my Glocks. I am not saying they are better than a Glock, just a bit more ergonomic.

All my Taurus' are good guns, my tcp has had an issue, and one day I may get it back, Its good to see Taurus improving on their products I just wish they would work that smart on their customer service... Being a multiple Taurus owner I could recommend the product, but if it needed service, you better have a backup gun, cause no telling when you would see it again...If the G3c is as good as the G3, get you one..

The guy at the gunstore suggested the Taurus G3c as my 1st striker fired handgun a few years ago. Initially I questioned this choice but years later and thousands of rounds shot thru it, its a dang great affordable all around gun. I believe now he made the right suggestion as I still carry that very same gun.

Make sure to check your front sight before shooting it and be careful when tightening the screw .after shooting the first three magazines my front sight was loose added some lock tight and the screw head snapped off when I tightened it up

I can't wait. Taurus listens to their customers "it seems". Many forums and threads have highlighted THEIR particular cons have certainly been addressed. Personally, I LOVE my G2c and EVERYTHING I wish they'd have upgraded, they've addressed. I mean EVERY CON I had with the G2c has been addressed. And it's not going to break the bank.

People like to discount a weapon designed so everyone can afford who wishes to own. Just as their is nothing like a Rolex, there is nothing like a Glock, Sig. I am sure there are technical differences that make other firearms better, for the rank and file shooter who puts say 1000 rounds of ammo a year through his/her weapon, this is more than adequate, just as a Seiko is for the daily wearer who wishes functionality over impression. I have a G2C which I recently picked up and it seems to be an excellent weapon, seems like to me this new entry is the G2 and earlier G3 refined, brought to the next level.

Yea but the biggest complaint is one that needs to be addressed. They need to put the loaded chamber indicator back on. A hole doesn't count as a loaded chamber indicator as brass and other ammo types are to dark so see through a small hole. Plus the mechanical one allows one to feel if its loaded in the pitch dark.

@@Predator42ID I personally don't disagree. I am not a fan of press checks. I own a few firearms where i do press check, but i prefer the indicator myself. I was surprised by how many ppl didn't like the loaded chamber indicator. It was subtle and it worked.

The only thing you forgot was an ambidextrous safety. And I'd rather have a tactile loaded chamber indicator than one I have to look at. Doesn't work to well in the dark or reduced light.

Just got a new g2c to replace my g2 that has over 8500 rounds with no problems. Is the chamber size different? It wont fully set some bullets, and wont chamber heavier than 115g hornaday hollow points at all. Also what is with the trigger hanging up sometimes.

Its the conical shape of the hornady xtp, alot of guns have issues with it cause it intereacts with the lands too far out, when i load 124 xtps for the g2c i have to seat em as far back in the case as possible for them to function and they still sit on the lands, shoot a round nose.. as far as the trigger goes its the trigger safety thats the issue, its just a piece of folded polymer the cold raises hell with it, and ur finger has to be perfectly straight on it, thats y they changed it, solution for that ive done on all my g2cs and pt111s is get a "keeptinkering" trigger. Search keep tinkering on you tube, his triggers are cheap and his flat faced ones my favorite, there all good, totally transform the gun also.

Same Coating both have Tenafer finish,I have a Taurus G3c shot 300 rounds though it one mis feed On Herters 9mm. Switch to CCI blazer 9mm 100 rounds no problems

I picked this firearm up new a couple months ago. I love this pistol. Everything about it. The size to shape the ergonomics the amazing grip the fact that it comes with three 12 round magazines.. metal sites that accept Glock style sites as well... And it is rated for higher pressure ammunitions for those of you that like it. And if in fact you do like the plus P style ammo check out Liberty civil defense. 50 grain hollow points traveling it about 2,000 ft per second and they will cut through level 3 body armor like it's nothing. 12:04 a.m. December 31st 2021. They do make 10 rd mags that fit the g2 , g2c, g3, and now g3c but the g2c and g3c come standard with 12rd mags and the g3 come standard with 15rd and 17rd mag but you can order any mags you want from Taurus and they are all interchangeable

I still got my pt111 and love it, i put after market sights on it black out steel rear and fiber optic front, the chamber indicator i love and the beveled front slide has always work for press checks the new finish may be nice though, by leaving on the extra material on the front side and not add a chamber indicator maybe they took the money and added to the finish.

I have one with the stainless steel slide. It would have been sweet if the SS recoil spring was included but its all good. I upgraded to that and also tritium night sights. I proudly stay protected with it on the daily! 😎👍
