Tav Celebrates Himself and Failure

#rangers captain James Tavernier has put out a season highlights video celebrating failure! In a season where Rangers blew the chance to win the league Tav appears to celebrate his personal achievements and feature games where we lost to Celtic! Absolutely ridiculous move from a man who is supposed to lead this club on and off the field

Tav has scored plenty of vital goals for rangers but as a captain he has ni conviction he does,nt make the ither players srand up and be counted he goes into his shell and does,nt take responsibility for the team 🇬🇧👍

Honestly I couldn't care less about what individual players put out on social media. All that matters to me is how we do in competitive matches. Totally agree about what the uproar would have been like if it had been Cantwell though. Social media can be great, but honestly the over emphasis on this kind of thing is one of it's downsides. Thanks for reporting on it though Owen. I had no idea he had even posted a "highlight reel" video.

Owen lad his personal stats are incredible nobody in world football doing that from right back. Unfortunately he’s in a bang average rangers team and for me he’s not a proper skipper. The hate and abuse he gets is incredible he’s not Messi he’s not the only reason we are bottlers 10 other players on the park. Am a fan boy of tav and I think he has earned the right to decide what he wants to do next. Let’s go Rangers

Hi David, You being a fan boy and all that tell me, How many corners did he take last season and find a teammate?, How many freekicks did he play into the box and find a teammate?, And in open play when he crossed the ball into the box how many found a teammate?. In fact you could check the last few seasons (maybe 5) and see what his stats say, and all those throw ins when we had to wait on him jogging up to take them on either side and letting the opposition get into a defensive position and who were ready before he threw the ball?. Then there's the jog back every game when we lost the ball and he was out of position and couldn't get back and defend. Then there's his comments in the match day programme a few years back saying he can't handle the pressure from the fans (really) All this from our captain. And his favourite comment, " we have to learn from this and move on" after yet another defeat. Yep but his stats are incredible according to yourself.

@@robertbinnie6896 Robert a get what your saying lad and to a degree u think your correct a don’t think personally he should ever have been made captain as he doesn’t have the mentality to carry out that role only a few do. It’s quite simple if tav pushed forward he needs to be covered from his team mates our shape and fitness levels have been questionable. Moving forwards competition for places will lift his and goldson performances as they both have been guaranteed a game for to long. Let’s trust big Phil and Kloppen as we will play completely different this season. 💙

@@GRN1872 I would like to think it's his way of saying thanks for the memories to the fans but his timing was off and he failed to gage the likely reactions. Roofe also released a highlight reel on his departure afterall for the fans and his agent to show around . Goldson he went one better releasing a Q&A 3 days after being benched for Hearts semi final that had been carefully produced in March Maybe I'm reading too much into things and I'm just guilty of wishful thinking 😂

We all appreciate Tav's numbers etc but in all honesty I don't think he should have been made captain. He can't drive the other players on and gets caught out of position far too often. Having said that, he alone isn't responsible for the poor trophy haul, there are another 9 outfield players who have seriously let us down badly when it really mattered, hence the need for the clear out. This group of players have been responsible for the sacking of two managers and Beale squandered what litt6money we had by buying dross. Yes, it's time for Tav to go but let's not blame it all on him and let him leave with our best wishes.

Owen Tav has to leave because if he stay's he will go down as a failure since he was made captain the team have won 3 Trophy's which as the captain of the best club in Scotland and one of the top 5 club's in British Football he would be classed as a serial loser so here's hoping big Phil tell's him it's time for you to leave if you want to go down as a legend at Rangers FC and not a loser and not just Tav but it is also time we seen the back of Connor Gouldson as well and thank the both of them for their service to the club and send them on their merry way.
