For Reference: Tarmac Pro SL8 frame weight 827g. Tavelo Arow 1014g. That's just a 187g weight difference. Those No.6 50/58 wheels only weigh 1300g. Shimano Di2 12sp groupset weighs less than equivalent Sram Force D2 on my SL8.

Great Video! On the topic of chinese one piece handlebars having a longer stem: I am considering getting the farsports f1s handlebar for my Giant Propel (sad to see it replaced 😢) and now I am concerned wether the 110 version of it would be significantly longer than the 110 giant stem I already have on it. Do you have any insight on this?
@PatrickLino
@PatrickLino 17 күн бұрын
Yes. Best practice is to assume Chinese branded one piece cockpits are at least 5mm longer than advertised. You also need to look at the actual handlebar "reach" specs compared to the reach on your current bars. I recall Farsports has a reach of 77mm.

The Tavelo Arow is dynamically more balanced. Similarly stiff, but the back end of the Tavelo doesn't get disrupted by rough pavement the way the T1500 does. But both are fast in a straight line as you can imagine.

@ozgurinsan order extra of you are worried. But, I've never had to replace a seat post because it broke or wore out in my 45 years of riding. As for the clamp and spacers, that is a problem after a while with any of the proprietary stuff. Even big manufacturers will stop making replacement parts after a while. As for the wheels, carbon spokes are more common and will be like steel spokes are now. Just go to a bike shop and they will replace it. Even DT Swiss is making hubs for carbon spokes. Hub shells? When they wear out, you replace the hubs and rebuild the wheel. You won't reuse the internals anyway. That is problematic. I've never seen anyone just replace the shell ever. By the way, the spacers and bar looks very much like the FSA setup.
