Tavira - Festas de Verão/Summer Time

A Feira da Dieta Mediterrânica decorreu em Tavira, entre 7 e 10 de setembro, no ano em que se comemora o 10.º aniversário da inscrição dos 7 países da Dieta Mediterrânica na lista do Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade, pela UNESCO, na qual se inclui Portugal e cuja comunidade representativa é Tavira.
A Dieta Mediterrânica é património vivo de todo o país em sintonia com as Convenções da UNESCO e com relevância crescente nacional e internacional.
É na atualidade, um dos mais relevantes contributos para a preservação ambiental e prevenção das alterações climáticas, modelo de agricultura sustentável e de alimentação saudável.
O programa desta Feira reflete o trabalho de parceria alargada que tem vindo a ser desenvolvido, ao longo de oito edições, e que inclui feira institucional com presença de outros países, instituições nacionais e regionais, de patrimónios imateriais classificados pela UNESCO, expositores de artesanato e produtos tradicionais, mostras botânicas e de sementes, restauração, provas e petiscos, música mediterrânica com concertos ao vivo da Argélia, França, Espanha, Marrocos e Itália. Além da música portuguesa, o programa inclui danças tradicionais e outras artes performativas, exposições, visitas ao património natural, seminários e muitas outras atividades.
Viajar pelos sabores mediterrânicos será possível na Praça da Convivialidade e nos 18 restaurantes do concelho que prepararam menus mediterrânicos.

The Mediterranean Diet Fair takes place in Tavira, between 7 and 10 September, in the year that marks the 10th anniversary of the inscription of the 7 Mediterranean Diet countries on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, by UNESCO, which includes Portugal and whose representative community is Tavira.
The Mediterranean Diet is a living heritage of the entire country in line with UNESCO Conventions and with growing national and international relevance.
It is currently one of the most relevant contributions to environmental preservation and prevention of climate change, a model of sustainable agriculture and healthy eating.
The programme for this Fair reflects the extensive partnership work that has been developed over the course of eight editions, and includes an institutional fair with the presence of other countries, national and regional institutions, intangible heritage sites classified by UNESCO, exhibitors of handicrafts and traditional products, botanical and seed exhibitions, catering, tastings and snacks, Mediterranean music with live concerts from Algeria, France, Spain, Morocco and Italy. In addition to Portuguese music, the programme includes traditional dances and other performing arts, exhibitions, visits to natural heritage sites, seminars and many other activities.
Traveling through Mediterranean flavors will be possible at Praça da Convivialidade and in the 18 restaurants in the municipality that have prepared Mediterranean menus.
