It’s like something out of a Disney World ride... but for real.. no fake stuff here. Great Video. I’ve done underground caving with water like this, but in the tropics, with high heat and humidity. Good respect for you guys.

Kayaking...awesome. Something I used to partake in quite a bit. That would have been an awesome outing.

Are you from Tavistock? My parents live there and I’d like to do this. Once you get to Morwellham Quay does it join straight on to the River Tamar or would you need to get out?

Very interesting, I live pretty close to this and always wondered what this tunnel was like, so thanks for the great video. Quick question, you mention airshafts, can you actually look up and see daylight? Thanks

I've walked the tunnel which was quite time consuming... 2.5 hours to go up and down taking pictures and exploring the mine entrances within
@robertthomas6036 ай бұрын
I had wrongly assumed that the tunnel blocked with with grill to prevent people entertering, looked like a fab trip but would have loved to see a bit footage at end to show its relationship with Morwellham.

A fair comment, wish I had done so. it is off a dirt track about half a mile back up the hill in some woods.
@mr.berlingo8211Ай бұрын
Almost immediately after the tunnel, the canal turns sharp right, there is then a closed sluice gate just before a bridge for the footpath from the road down to morwellham. After this point the canal is dry. Where the canal turn sharp right there is another sluice going straight ahead. This feeds the hydro scheme down by the Tamar. The water course is barely visible after the sluice.
