How I miss visiting Shaykh Fareed Abdullah in Los Angeles (at Misjid Al Mumin). He would give the Friday Sermon with authority Upon The Sunnah of The Messenger of Allah (salah Alahu Alayhee wa salam). I first met him around 2005. He was truly something "fareed" (unique) in the United States of America. The Misjid was literally located in one of the roughest parts of Los Angeles. May Allah have Mercy upon the Shaykh! May Allah grant him a high place in the Gardens of Paradise. Far away from the harsh streets that I first saw his face. Allahumma Ameen. 6******
