The federal government can add some changes to this bill by creating 5 categories in which each state in the federation must fall into not more than one of it ie state with seaport, state with high numbers of population, state that shares land borders with other African nations, state with large landmark, state with little or non economics activities in performance .also 40%for all states as planned while 15% be added together and shares among each states from this category in which a state like lagos or river state for example can only have a single slot from this categories

Mean while people live more in those areas because of infrastructure, which some states like Lagos and Abuja got lion's share of infrastructure with resources from areas that are not as developed and there less people and consump tion !!!

SE and SS (Eastern region) lawmakers shouldn't be so quick to support the tax reform... Not when the fed govt under Tinubu has been nepotistic in his appointment..The tax reform maybe a good one but it may also has ulterior motive under this fed govt that's headed by one tribe. Eastern region lawmakers as a matter of fact should give Tinubu conditions to support his bill such as: 1. Viable seaport in the SS region 2. Viable international airport in the SE region 3. Additional state for SE in this case Anioma state. If none of these conditions is addressed, forget about that tax reform. Tinubu just wants to make Lagos/SW as the most prosperous state/region in Nigeria if not Africa. Our lawmakers should stand with Northern lawmakers until the above conditions are met. This is not about North against the South or vice versa. When Tinubu was appointing his kinsmen and women he never remembered Eastern region.

Reform bill is bad, very bad, Lagos hit job against the rest of Nigeria. 1. Car imported through Lagos, how do you know it will end up kaduna or another state. 2. Kwilikwi produced in kaduna how are you sure it will not be consumed in Lagos. 3. Commercial vehicles imported into Nigeria through Lagos but transporting people btw Lagos and kaduna, who do you assign the VAT. 4. What stop companies from manipulating the point of consumption of their products. 5. This bill can never be justly implemented.

VAT is a consumption tax and not a production tax. Under the old colonial tax bill which we still use, these things you mentioned are difficult to monitor. But this new tax bill clearly states how and who will monitor this stats
