Economic vandalism is a great term for it, and criminal charges are needed. On Vancouver Island, everything except milk is shipped here, and we have an extra carbon tax levie in BC. In BC the government keeps all the carbon tax, no rebate for us.

If you think you get back more than you paid out you are willfully ignorant. Everything you purchase from retailers was delivered by a gasoline/diesel truck. Raw materials for the manufacturing sector were delivered by a truck. Food crops were planted and harvested by fuel consuming machinery. Tell me again how the carbon tax doesn't affect you because you don't own a vehicle.
