@FullSwingMedia I solo in N19688, my first solo was on N1315R, the route was to Bakersfield and the plane had over heating problems. When I go there to fly most people complain of N1315R. Its sad that they dont have 818 anymore. Just when they rebuilt the engine it was a beast at climbing

You don't request a specific squawk code and the number is not based on direction of travel, you're assigned one by the tower anytime you're in or going through controlled airspace or request flight following and are in the range of their radar. In this case were going to Burbank.

Had you requested that squawk code prior to being given it? Do they automatically get you one based on what direction you tell them you're departing in?
