Why not keep the back flat? I'm having a shoulder mount done and would like to find a way to insert a rod into the foam and be able to transfer it from the wall to the pedestal as I please.

options are endless. I have made wall pedestals that way. but for a floor pedestal, the curved back is just more appealing to look at.
