I know you did this video more than a few years ago but I am blown away by your demonstration. This app was suggested to me and it's low price meant I purchased it without really seeing what it could really do. I came looking for just such a demonstration. Thank you! I am glad for the original suggestion but even more glad about how you showcase how capable this app actually is.

I’ve had Tayasui sketches pro for some time and hadn’t used it for a while, but compared to Procreate I find it very intuitive. As well, your demo of the pencil tool surprised me with the many variations. I usually use the nib pen and watercolour tools (the latter has endless possibilities I haven’t begun to discover). I’m subscribed and really enjoy your tutorials. Thanks

The only thing I don’t like is the inability to share screen. Otherwise great product.

Hi again Steve. First: Thank you sincerely for doing a serries of drawing videos. No one else is approaching digital art as you are and I am very grateful that you are. Just a few questions. I heard you say that you used some of the tools, like the selection tool and the personal palette, and comment on them ,but I didn't see how you actually selected them. I do not know anything about sketching apps and can't seem to find answers to things like this. Where and how do I find the selection tool and how do I create palettes of my own. I only see the color bar and the three colors along the bottom. No where can I find, or know how to find, other tools like these. Few people explain the details and those are what I need. I'm coming to digital art from a self taught fine art perspective and zero technical skills so that is very important to me........being a trained fine artist, I'm sure you understand.....I just saw your 6/20 revisit of Paper 53 and decided to go back and do some graphite drawing. That is my favorite medium. I much prefer this app to Procreate for drawing so I would really like to understand it. Many, many thanks for taking the time to offer these to us. I am so appreciative.

Hi Judith, you can access the select tool in Tayasui by highlighting the scissors icon. Once selected you can rescale, move or delete a selection. I think this tool may be part of the pro version. Although Paper 53 has a custom palette after 50 videos using Tayasui I haven’t created a custom palette, so I’m not sure there is an option for custom palettes. You can customise the colour bar though. Hold you pen over a colour and a colour picker will appear. You can select a new colour and choose to overwrite the original colour or add a new colour

Love this video, I have Procreate as well as paper by 53 but I think I will toy around with this app since its a one time fee. I am still new to drawing so I dont know if I should draw with a normal sketch book or digital. Either way great video 😊

Hi Tri-Angle, Thanks. I have lots of traditional sketch books, but love the idea of filling digital sketch books. This will be my third digital book. The only downside of a digital sketchbook is, it is impossible to use on a bright sunny day when outside

I’m so glad you’ve chosen this app for your sketchbook series! I really like the ink pen tool and the watercolor brush, which I use for urban sketch type drawings and paintings. I go between this app and Procreate most of the time. I’m looking forward to seeing your sketchbook.

How do you like this app compared to Concepts for sketching?
@SteveElliottArt6 жыл бұрын
Hi Kay, After trying out both the apps. I decided to use Tayasui Sketches for my sketch book series. Mainly because it is more intuitive than Concepts. It as a very clean easy to use interface, which is what I look for in a sketching app. I don't want to be bogged down with technology. Having said that, Concepts does have a really cool colour picker!

Is this app same as Tayasui pro?
@SteveElliottArt5 жыл бұрын
Hi Arun, I've checked my version I have Tayasui Sketch and I've also purchased the pro features, which includes unlimited layers select tool and a few other features. To be honest the free version is really good if you want to try it out
