Taylor always a fun informative video. That was so silly you guys sloshing in the water doing the tarp, then emptying the water when done. LOL

I was in construction for 11 years we always called them pole barn sheet steel screws. Your videos remind me of the home farm when my family still had the farm and all the tasks and fixing. My family owned it for about 60 years. It was 200 acres 62 cow barn. We raised all calves did not sell when born. Sold the milking cows in 1993 the year i graduated high school. We just sold the farm in 2023. My 21 siblings could not agree to keep it in the family sad. Keep the videos coming😊.

Hi Taylor. After growing up on a farm , farmer talk is like a second language that only a few will understand. Watching the birth of Brutus was awesome. Watched many of these on the farm. Thanks for sharing that. Please stay safe while working with Brent. The work you do puts you in many situations where you could get hurt. God bless you and Brent always. 🐄🚜🎄🍩☕️😋

I smile when ever you talk about your short commings. I employed a young woman about your age to take care of our water plant landscaping. Her last name was Taylor and was the best employee I ever hired. Hard worker and fun to see her take a task as a challenge to do her best. She was in the National Guard in transportation and told of driving a duce and a half where she needed both feet to push in on the clutch while a passenger changed the gears, but don't tell her she couldn't do something because of her size or being a female. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

What a precious little boy! Taylor, you are so good with the animals. I can tell you truly care about them. I've watched many of your videos and the one thing I have learned is that farming is extremely laborious! The work never ends, something always needs fixing and there is never enough money. I love farmers and truly appreciate the work they do. They are the backbone of the food industry and are so underappreciated. You are all in my prayers daily. Merry Christmas to you and your families!!

Hi Tay&Brent, Merry CHRISTmas. Thank you for your dedication to your girls. Its incredible, and a great example for all of us to follow. I would even go far enough to suggst havng a school/volunteer program for those who would consider a dairy..I knw that's far off, and risky bcuz you make it look so easy, we don't see that risk of injury. GOD bless, may he keep you safe and in HIS care...

Hi Taylor. That was a beautiful boy calf. And you are right, he was big. New tarp, looks like the ones I get from Harbor Freight. Very clever cutting grooves in the wall to be able to put the door in the slots to keep it steady. We didn't have a manure pit. we just piled our manure outside the side door of the barn. In the spring we would pitchfork it into the spreader and go to the fields. Lots of hard manual labor involved. Times sure do change. Have a great day Merry Christmas to you and Brent and God Bless

Hi Taylor, When cleaning out the barn with the barn cleaner, where does that manure end up. Does it end up in an outside pit where you and Brent put a long piece to close it off.
@geraldvetter46402 күн бұрын
Hi Taylor, if you have two big c clamps, you could use them on the top of the manure pit door and then attach the chain on them. That way you have more control, when you insert the door. Greetings from Germany

@RobertLambeth-o3d2 күн бұрын
Taylor I just discovered your channel here and I enjoy it that kind of a barn looks like that would be a lot of work there me and my brother back in the early fall late late summer we just bought a dairy farm between the two of us and all and it's not set up like yours there it set up with a parlor to where we can put almost 40 Cal's at a time in it 20 on each side one thing about it is is we don't have to worry about the ice and snow like y'all do we're down here in South Georgia we actually got a pretty good deal on a farm dairy however you want to say it we're kind of new at it even though he knows a little bit more than I do but he's he's pretty much going to run it and I'll
@tayfarms2 күн бұрын
It's a lot of work, but we love it! Good luck with your new dairy farm!
@RobertLambeth-o3d2 күн бұрын
The reason I say we kind of got a good deal on it is because the guy didn't have the funds to keep on going and then when them two hurricanes come across this this past summer it kind of made a mess of things and all and he lost most all of his food lost all the food for the farm for the cows and stuff and all and they can't eat just grass@@tayfarms
@RobertLambeth-o3d2 күн бұрын
Of course you know that there that they can't eat this grass all the time I've got to have some corn and everything else and minerals and stuff to go along with it the any kind of put it up for sale for like pennies on the dollar cuz he didn't have no choice he was either going to lose it or the other sell it to kind of get a little bit of money back to pay off the debt and we just happen to be at the right place at the right time we farm produce and stuff and all and also we raise cows pigs and chickens and stuff for eggs and for meat so we just have to be at the right place at the right time and grabbed it
