I’m so upset this morning. After spending the last 4 days working on Etsy orders from your video review Tayler, I woke up this morning to see my Etsy shop suspended with no email stating why. 😢😢😢 I’m sorry for those who ordered the Purl from my Etsy but I know Etsy will refund your purchase. But I’m at a total loss as to why my 12 year old 5 star shop was suspended. I just wanted to let you know. Thanks again for the absolutely lovely review of my Purl project tote. Emerance

I live about 4 hours west of Vegas in California and when you talked about the summer blues and summer sadness, OMG YES!!!! I experience the same thing! triple digit dry heat for 2 straight months has me hiding in my house too. I hate the heat and I am so glad to see summer go away. I'm so glad you took a little break and feel refreshed again, sometimes that is so needed. Also I never knew I needed a knit hood until today but I NEED a knit hood now because that is sooo cute!

So good to see you back! I'm getting caught up on my delinquent viewing since our play closed. I have cast on another Christmas stocking for my daughter-in-law. I'm going to Poland to hopefully hand-deliver her stocking and my granddaughter's. It may still be in progress when we fly over, however. I love your hood cowl and split neck cowl! The hood is fabulous and your hair poking out is just flat cute. The cowl is interesting...it really works with that split...and the button would really finish it. I would call it the "Split End Cowl". I have no creativity. 😂 I'm working on a Saturday cowl right now, but I think I am going to cast on something similar to yours very soon. I love a good drawstring bag. I gravitate to thrifted bags, but rarely come across a bag with a drawstring. Love your podcasts...

Rockport MA- If you like great artwork, consider a trip to Gloucester to see Stapleton Kearns’ gallery. Awesome work by Charles Movalli and Stape’s wife Dale Ratcliff. If you go, say hi from Nancy in WV! Loved the hood. Nothing like finding the series that clicks to get a kid reading!! (HP movies are waaay scarier than the books!). Have a fun trip in Oct.

My partner and I are going through Flanagan’s Netflix shows. We finished Haunting of Hill House which inspired me to read the book of the same name by Shirley Jackson! We’re currently watching the Haunting of Bly Manor and I’ve got the book Turning of the Screw (by Henry James) on my TBR as the show is loosely based on the book. If you like cardigan’s. The flurry from Ankestrik is made of the isager ecosoft. I made that cardigan 3 times and use different kinds of yarnweights for it. I ommitted the texture. It’s a quick knit and doesn’t uses a lot of yarn eighter. I loved you yarn pairing of your hood. I realy enjoyed your episodes where you talked about colour. It’s inspirering. I looking for a mohair to pair with a colour. i wil go back at you mohair pairing podcast.

Understand! Could not live in Nevada, the South, a lot of the US, a lot of the world. Here in the Pacific Northwest it drops to 50’s and 60’s at night. Spring and autumn are lovely . And the beaches are usually soft, windy environments with wild grasses billowing and an occasional person and their dog walking along the water. My kind of place! Will wish you some of our cool days (summer is basically over) and stormy, rainy nights

Please don't talk about the end of summer yet... 😁 We (in Bavaria) have four more weeks of Summer Holiday before school starts! From all the German states, we in the south have to wait the longest, but it's still warm and lovely and 'm enjoying the sun to the maximum :) Crocheting potholders, beach totes and amigurumi at the moment. It doesn't mean I don't love your hood. I've also been secretly looking into balaclava hood patterns, because winters here in the Alps are long and cold and my husband and I will definitely wear those. But I won't start until mid September. Good to see you back, wishing you and your family a good back to school and work!

I love that. I totally understand. For me, the constant hot sun is oppressive. Like, go away for a bit you know. I’m my best and truest self when there are clouds in the sky. 😂 In fall and winter, it’s not much of an issue since the sun sits lower in the sky and has a different “feel” to it. But summer sun is overrated. ❤️

The hood looks like a fun knit. Love your cowl with the split. Cowls are so easy and fast knits. Unfortunately I've pulled my rotator cuff and still having pains.

Oh Kay, I’m so sorry to hear about your shoulder. Pulling a rotator cuff is no joke. It’s amazing how much we can’t do when that happens. Take good care. Ice is nice. Rest is best. 😘

Hi Tayler, Salem, Mass shouldn't be that crowed since your going before Halloween. I have been there on Halloween & it's not that bad either.

Sweater care question! I’ve been so inspired to make a sweater of my own for the first time after watching you and a couple other KZbinrs make some gorgeous sweaters. My only hang up is that I want to use fibers (like wool, mohair, silk, etc) that seem to need delicate care. I have a baby boy, and while precious he can make quite the mess sometimes. How would you clean garments needing delicate care if they get dirty? Thanks!!

This is literally the first year that I've been knitting in advance of colder temperatures, usually I start my knitting projects when it's already chilly outside :D When I saw you starting the hood on Instagram I got inspired and decided to follow suit. Love the tshirt by the way

@@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS definitely! We’re in the middle of a heat wave right now where I live, which is quite unusual, so I’m aching for that early fall cool mornings.

Welcome back! I always enjoy a new podcast from you 😊 I love that hood, now I feel like I need one in my life. I’m working on a huge reupholstering project right now(100 chairs by September 16th) so I don’t have time to knit right now, but the second I do I’m gonna make myself one of those hoods! I’ve got plenty of time before it starts to cool down here in Florida, it was 92 yesterday I think and I did in fact wear a sweater…so 😅 that hood could be a year-round wardrobe item for me. I swear your body adjusts to wherever you live. I grew up in the Midwest and could easily go without a coat in 30 degree weather, now if it gets below 70 I’m like “where’s my heated blanket?!”. I’m rambling, oh no! 😂 My husband and I are also binge watching all the Harry Potter films right now, we are currently half way through the goblet of fire 🔥. I’ll have to check out your book recommendation if I ever finish these chairs. It sounds interesting! We are also book nerds. I’ll have to link your booktube channel, he also has one! Though I have yet to make an appearance on it due to crushing social awkwardness. 😂 ok I should stop, haha. Have a lovely week! ❤

Omg 100 chairs by September! That is QUITE a job. Such a physical one as well. Sending you finishing vibes to see it through. 💪 And we are the same in terms of how we adjust to our region's climate. It's sort of wild. And enjoy the Potter films! And do send me the link to your husband's channel! I'd love to check it out. ❤️

Waw: I also decided to knit the Cocktail cardigan. Like you said, I choose that one for the DK weight (many cardigan I like were in worsted weight). I am just waiting for the yarn to cast that on! I had not such success with knitted cardigan so I hope that one will be THE one! 😅

I would love to see a pattern for that nifty cowl you made! Also, do you have any pattern suggestions for a straightforward men's cardigan in a sock-weight yarn? I want to make one for my hubby, and I'm not finding a lot.

My hubby and I live in Salem. October (especially late October) is insane lol!! Good idea to stay in Rockport. If you can, don't drive into Salem - it's impossible to get a spot. The commuter rail is much better and there's a station in Rockport. But if you do decide to drive in, get here very early and park at the train station so you can make a quick exit into North Salem without having to drive through downtown. :)

Thank you so much for this advice! We’ll definitely hold off on driving. I can imagine that it’s crazy. My biggest draw is the House of the Seven Gables. I’ve done the tour before, but it was June then. I’ll need to book it ahead of time. ❤️

@@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS Yes, definitely book ahead (we were just there a couple of weekends ago with my brother and sister-in-law who were visiting from North Carolina!) And be aware that most restaurants in Salem will not allow reservations during October. It truly is crazy-time but I think it's worth it. Everybody is in costume and the energy and vibe is amazing! :)
