Man, I really want this kid to succeed. He was so impressive last year and got a bad start this year with injuries. We need to produce and embrace more creative players like him and not just "speed and power"

I hope this can be a turning point in the season for the Booths. We definitely need Taylor in good for for this summer.

WTF is up with those kits? Those are a crime! They look like one-strap overalls 😂

POV: If Brendan Aaronson could score or cross.

Oh wow he did not play that well if you remove his hat trick 😂

So you're saying...."He didn't do well if you take out all the parts that he did do well in".....lol 😂😂
@RDRevolver82824 ай бұрын
@@TivoKenevil Pretty much. Just those 3 goals. Did you see those highlights? His touches and passes looked pretty bad, its a good thing he was able to finish otherwise he'd be benched next few games.

he was the most dominant player on the field even without the goals, he was striding forward full speed every few minutes lol

I love the result and would really love to see this kid succeed, but this is like watching High School soccer. I can't tell anything from the footage except that he's still too sloppy, too try hard, and too inconsistent. Honestly, the last footage I saw of him when he had that one good month was lot more impressive. The last time we saw him perform well he was like 20, but now at 22 he just is way too much of the modern prototypical American player - lots of motor, lots of heart, good wheels, undersized, and just a little bit too clumsy and inconsistent to succeed at the highest levels. Poor man's Aaronson is I'm afraid all we are going to get. I'm not giving up on him yet, but if he can't calm down in the next year or two he's just going to be Duane Holmes - good for an occasional highlight reel and that's about it.

Pretty much agree, but the kid can finish and he does seem physically strong, unlike Aaronson, who strikes me as "not strong." All three goals were well struck and would be unsavable at higher levels. In thIs this clip he is good at winning balls and shielding against a mark, which is a positive, but you have to take into account the level. He is also not what I would call "smooth on the ball." It's also hard to tell how fast he really is, and at the highest levels, speed counts as much as smoothness on the ball. Guys like Wes Mckinney and Reyna have that smoothness, the ability to carry under control in tight spaces at pace, the hallmark of a very high level player. But he is just 22 and yes, with diligence and being injury free, progression can happen even at that age. We will see.

@@karlpk3907 At a lot of the lower levels of European soccer you see a lot of foot speed without the ability to play the ball at the speed that is required. This game looks like pinball with everyone pressing the ball and no one able to control it. I have no doubt he has enough foot speed for higher levels but watching him play I'm not seeing that speed of play that lets you resist that much pressure that is one of the real differences between this level of soccer and someone that can make it in the next level. The other thing I'm not seeing is consistency. At this level the gap in athleticism between this level and the top level is pretty small, but the ability to play at speed and the ability to do the thing 9 times in 10 instead of 3 times in 10 is the real distinguishing factor. Right now we are looking at a player that will have 1-2 good seasons 4-5 years from now and is a valuable backup for us at that time, but otherwise not be good enough to contribute to the national team. But again, he still has time to develop so we'll see.
@karlpk39074 ай бұрын
@@celebrim1 He may develop as you say, but there is a chance he could be a significant contributor for us in cycle. But, yeah, the attacking group is awfully crowded if everyone is healthy. On the other hand, you'd probably have to say he would need to beat out Kevin Paredes which is a tall order. Now there's a player with significant upside.

Agree. He looks out of control when he plays, and his touch is not the greatest.
