see, taylor has always been smart. but her parents still wanted her to do a lot and put extra pressure on her- forcing her to work publicly since such a young age and without choice on top of exams!

I think generally people try to look the way the feel inside. So it would make sense that she was *both* more confident in the past (here) and in general terms ' more common looking' in style. generally people who are into emo type of music, and dressing black with that kind of make up *are* actually mentally not feeling that great. I do not mean that as insult, but generally they tend to feel insecure and kind of nervous. These days she feels more insecure if you see interviews. Just my 2cents

@ThePopsicleAddict it doesn't make sense to assume this isn't how Taylor really was before the start of her band. I recently saw an interview of her now and saw how uncomfortable she was. At the time during the interview she'd trail off on what she was talking about. Here she seems more confident and less insecure. I agree on the fact that I really like her band. But the contrasts between how she is now, and in this video...are too great. I'd prefer to listen to this Taylor speak.
