Got the brush through AliExpress. Took about six weeks to arrive, but I’m glad it has - I really like the brush - especially the long handle which is very comfortable, it’s colourful, really well-made and looks great and performs very well - I recommend it if anyone is thinking about it!!

I recently bought a Slim from an antique shop. Mine was made in 1966, the year when the World Cup in England took place. It is in relatively good condition. There is some plate loss on the lifting mechanism and the turning knob has a bit of a drop. The safety bar was also not straight which I did not notice when I was buying it. I managed to fix that after reading some info online. Yeah it is usable but I cannot say that it is my favourite vintage razor I have tried. My favourite so far is a British rocket flare tip. It is so smooth and efficient and it gives me almost no irritation unlike the Slim. Cheers!

1964 is a bit special since that same year James Bond used a Gillette Slim in Goldfinger when he was in an airplane. He didn’t actually use it, but it was gadget with an mini size emitter in it that he put in the heel of his shoe. I have a J2, it was my first vintage razor. I also have an E2 red tip which I really like.

TOBS St. James Collection was my first shaving cream coming from the can goop. It's a wonderful smell and it's TOBS so it good stuff. I make sure I don't run out of this scent. I'll have to get the Tobacco Leaf and I'm happy that Taylor is trying new stuff. I guess if they've been around since the mid 1800's they know what they are doing.

This wedding themed shave was well conceived. I agree that ToBS has more outstanding scents than dull. My favorite ToBS remains sandalwood. I look forward to trying the platinum line of creams. I wish I had that slim adjustable, since 1964 is my birth year. I have a favorite lime soap. It is Lime Street, by the now defunct Local Gent shave company. I have the soap, and balm. He never released a splash for this scent. It is the most natural lime scent I've experienced. It is not an artificial chemical lime. Perfect for these smoldering summer months. So, naturally I'm curious to see how the ToBS Lime Zest fares. Excellent blade choice, and sensible post shave accoutrements. I still use the Boot's Fresh Wood set you sent me. Please stay safe, and out of harm's way. Let me know when Mrs Kevy has the grand opening of her barber shoppe. I am in need of a buzz urgently. We are all still waiting to see Riley's new doo. Good afternoon Kevy! I watched this video a few days ago, but forgot to comment. I had left a comment on another channel about TOBS creams and how every time a Vlogger uses one of these creams I want to buy them. Temptation is great and I usually equally suppressed. However, the Tobacco Leaf scent might be right up my alley. I wonder if it smells like a tobacco drying barn? That smell is subtlety sweet yet richly earthy. Those vintage Gillette adjustable razors are good. I think the Slim adjustable has my heart because it is my birth razor and a Bond razor! That said, truthfully, the best shaving Gillette adjustable is the Super 84/Super 109 series. The coolest nickname is the Fat Boy, but the shave isn't up to standard of the Slim or Super adjustable. Yeah, borrowed the "Pick-up time, baby!". Thank you for introducing this new TOBS cream and the entertaining shave. Please take care my friend!

Hi Kevy nice to see tobs introducing new scents. I like tobs St James nice fresh scent tried Sandalwood not so keen I prefer lite clean scents. Although a cheap soap I like the Parmolive scent. I don't know if you realized it but you only lathered for a little over 2 minutes for your first pass. When you use the artisan creams, you're huffing and puffing with added effort for 4 minutes or more. I think it says alot about the major house creams (and probably the chemicals added rather than mostly all natural ingredients). Their research must indicate that if the shaver had to work too hard to build a lather, it would cut down on sales.

Kevy, when lathering TOBS should I try for a shiny lather? I assume not because I can't seem to ever get one. What should I look for in a good TOBS lather? I have a bunch of super-fated artisan soaps but TOBS isn't anything like those so I'm kind of shooting in the dark here... please help and thank you in advance!

TOBS never gets the same shine as artisan soaps as there's not the same amount of fats and butters etc., in it. Just try and get a nice creamy lather that's had enough water added to it. It will have a little shine to it, but not much. Cheers. Kevy 👍

I love the scents of the TOBS creams but for some reason I'm not able to get a good lather from creams, TOBS or otherwise. Solid soaps work way better for me.
