She’s a good vocalist her range is f2-bb6 (4 octaves and 3 notes) can belt up to 21 seconds, she’s doing riffs now, her vocal coach said she has more WAY more range and ability that she shows us that it can be surprising when she stands up in her lessons and “executes Mariah Carey songs perfectly” ❤

So Taylor never really had the country accent, she was born and raised in Pennsylvania until she convinced her parents to move to Nashville to start her music career. She always loved country music and wanted to be a country artist so she moved and put in the accent to make that dream happen. Then, along the way, she started breaking into pop and eventually started using her actual accent. Girlie sounded AMAZING though with that country twang! Edit: isn't it so hard picking a favorite album? She was talking about how Reputation was the best, then when she was picking top 3 albums Reputation was nowhere to be seen 😂 they're literally all the best, your fave is valid because every album is flawless! In Taylor's defense on the accent, she moved to the south while she was a teen when going to school hearing that southern twang spoken on a daily basis, it is easy to pick up an accent. I am originally from Wisconsin/Minnesota and have now lived in the south since 1991, when I talk to people from up there, they think I sound southern.

I was coming to say that. The clip of London Boy is from her BBC Live Lounge performance, I think she did 5 songs, all acoustic, including a tender, slowed-down version of Holy Ground. Phenomenal.

I always find it so interesting that the accent thing always gets brought up with Taylor. A lot of people don't realize that there are a lot of country stars that are not from the south. Merele Hagard is in the Nashville songwriting hall of fame and he is from California. Some not even from America at all lol. Shania Twain is Canadian, Keith Urban is from New Zealand. And the accent is kind of a feature of country music, so I am sure she thought she had to do it in order to make it in Tennessee. Though it is funny to look back on and hear now.
