🥊 Taylor Swift appears to have reignited her long-standing feud with reality TV star Kim Kardashian in her latest release, the 11th studio album titled "The Tortured Poets Department."
On a surprising Friday release, the 34-year-old singer dropped a double album featuring a whopping 31 songs, among them a track that fans are buzzing might be a ‘diss track’ directed at 43-year-old Kardashian.
The track in question, "thanK you aIMee," cleverly uses capital letters K, I, and M in its title and delves into a tale of a rivalry with a woman named Aimee from Swift's hometown, weaving a narrative that echoes past public disputes.
In the song, Swift's lyrics paint vivid pictures: “There's a bronze spray-tanned statue of you and a plaque underneath it/That threatens to push me down the stairs, at our school.” The intensity continues as she sings in the post-chorus, “Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman, but she used to say she wished that you were dead, I pushed each boulder up the hill, your words are still just ringing in my head.”
Further stirring speculation, Swift hints at lingering animosity: “And maybe you've reframed it, and in your mind you never beat my spirit black and blue, I don't think you've changed much.” She also alludes to an intriguing future scenario: “And one day, your kid comes home singing a song that only us two is gonna know is about you,” a line many believe references Kardashian’s eldest daughter, North West, who once danced to Swift's hit "Shake It Off" on TikTok.
