Someone posted a really interesting comment on this performance- I’ll quote: “The drummers are marching to their death. In battle the drummers aren’t armed, their job was to keep the troops moving forward to the beat of the drum. Shooting them was seen as cowardly as they were usually innocent kids or young men. In this case they all marched to their death in this battle for love, making whomever shot them “the smallest measure of a man that ever lived.”” ❤
