A day ago, I was feeling tired but my auntie asked me to go to the hospital to watch over my old uncle who was confined there. I didn't want to go, I just wanted to rest because it's my day off and I though that my uncle's son should be there instead of me. But then, since it's my day off, I agreed to go to the hospital but against my will. I was feeling heavy at that time, I just thought that I will just lay down and stay awake all night, watching my uncle. But when I arrived there in my uncle's hospital room, I saw he was sharing a room with another patient and it made me feel uncomfortable, because my uncle is very irascible, he likes shouting which is very embarrassing. I don't like other people seeing me embarrassed, and to add fuel to the fire, I saw his son there, I mean, why can't he stay for the night and watch over his own father instead of me, I should be taking rest at that time, you can't really sleep in a hospital because like every one or two hours, a nurse will come and wake you up, to inform you about the health status of the patient or get blood pressure. I was so unhappy, I was faking smiles, trying to show them that it's okay. And then there's a boy who is of the same age as me, he started talking to me, he seems very nice so I started talking to him as well, the playful conversation starts, countered all his quick remarks like passing notes in secrecy. We talked all day about different topics, we went outside of the hospital room and stayed near a window where you can get a view of the city, trees and the night sky. We talked and talked and I started to feel comfortable being with him, it felt like I wanted to thank auntie for forcing me to go to the hospital and watch over my uncle, because if she didn't, I wouldn't meet this wonderful guy. By 1 am, we went back to the room and decided to have a quick nap. After an hour, at exactly 2am, I still can't sleep, I turned my head right and saw that boy sleeping, I wondered if he has a girlfriend or someone special in his life, the lingering question kept me up, 2am, "who do you love?" I wondered till I'm wide awake. So I decided to just go outside the room again and walk around the hospital and after that, I came back to the room and sleep. The next day, I have to go because my uncle's son will be there and take my place. It's sad because there are moments in life where you will meet a wonderful person but after that, you're left with just a small chance that you'll meet that person again. I pray that it was the very first page not where the story line end, my thoughts will echo his name until I see him again. These are the words I held back as I left too soon. I know it's quick to have feelings but I just can't explain how things like this happen, it's almost like magic. Unfortunately, I might never see him again. But I'm still thankful. I was enchanted to meet him.
