I think cardigan and willow music videos reflect more on Taylor’s life herself. In cardigan, the visuals show her following her musicianship through success (in the forest) to troubled waters (the ocean) but her music and writing brought her back and always had her back. In willow, there’s now an invisible string (hint from folklore) that leads her through different places and I believe it leads to love affairs she’s had in her past. She goes through different people and places to find the one and she eventually gets trapped in a glass case (due to dating so many high profiles celebs) that she never thought she’d be able to find love without it being a problem but she continued through, escaping and becoming a witch (reputation album) but eventually following the string back home and with all the newfound experiences, her lover is here

u forgot about ‘the lakes’ in the second scene when taylor see’s herself and her boyfriend, the man is ‘the 1’ for her, ‘exile’ when taylor and her boyfriend can’t be together and ‘this is me trying’ when taylor trying to get the hell out of the mirror even tho she finally can. ‘peace’ when taylor with her boyfriend.

Well hello there. Here I am again, on your channel, talking about Taylor haha. The video represents the different songs inf folklore. She follows the invisible string from folklore and goes through the different songs (Mirrorball, seven, exile, mad woman...). And, after living all of that, she finds HIM. 🥰 Whilst cardigan focused on how music saved her, this one is about how music took her everywhere and led her to Joe (her boyfriend).

So I been looking at the mv of willow and I realized that this a metaphor of her relationship with Joe. Each scene is a different era of her career. Fearless/Speak Now: This the hardest one. I notice that they showed her feet and the tree. That can be referring to the mv of 15. Actually the way she walks is the same way in that mv. The lake can be referring to Mine MV. Also the leaves around the lake is purple which is the color of the dress from the Speak Now album. Red: when she dives into the water she turns into a kid. That is referring to Everything has change MV. 1989: this era is when she was in a glass box. She has talked about how in 1989 everyone was watching her every move. I also like that she was singing in this scene. This could be referred to the lyrics in invisible spring, "bad was the blood at your first trip to LA". Bad Blood was in the 1989 album and that was the first time Joe heard her sing. Reputation: When she is walking in the woods she has a black hood over her head. I believe that is referencing to Ready for It MV. Also this scene they are doing some kind of ritual. It could be referencing to lyrics from I Did Something Bad. Lover: She walked outside hand and hand with her lover. It was daylight outside the door. These are Easter Eggs I haven't heard anyone talk about.

Swifties theorize that this could be the first and last music video for evermore album just like folklore since Taylor might release 'woodvale' album on March or April 2021 since some found the word 'woodvale' randomly on one of the album cover of the limited edition cd's of folklore. i could be a trilogy of albums and sadly, it could be a hint of retirement. Remember the colorful house on Lover MV? each room color represents all her albums and now that evermore dropped, all the rooms are complete. the 'door' is the only one left.
