I was a liaison from a local LGBT Youth Center to the regional Lutheran Synod. I sat on the board as they prepared their big lock-in weekend with around 300 kids. I was pretty hopeful for the event as we had been talking about how to support LGBT teens and peers for awhile and the board seemed excited. During the opening of the event the board was on stage going over the rules for the weekend all fairly standard and similar to my own UU faith. That is until we got to 250 kids yelling at the stage "No Purpling!" and 50 + my confused faces. We were given the same boys are blue, girls are pink...no purpling! explanation. That's when I realized it was going to be a longer weekend than I thought. Later that evening debriefing with the Board what was a fairly successful opening night all told. I asked the Board and specifically their pastor why they didnt use a clearer rule like: no sexual activity instead of no purpling. The room seemed confused, so I offered "well the no doors closed rule when there are youth of opposite gender in the hotel room works great to prevent purpling. You have 4 kids per room split by gender. And you havent said anything about Ultramarine or Hot Pink..." Now the confused looks were theirs while they tried to figure out ultramarine and hot pink for a second. Then many of the kids and some of the adults started laughing some sincere, some uncomfortably. They had never considered the activity that could be going on in the rooms, and wasn't technically against their rules. I offered that while it may be more uncomfortable for them to say "no sexual activity" only needs to be said once and covered everyone and all activity. I dont know whether they adopted my recommendation for future events, but I cant hear "no purpling" without immediately thinking about ultramarine and hot pink now.

When automobiles first came out there was a big flap about the sinfulness- I remember reading something about how they were one of the three legs of devilish temptation, I think perhaps jazz and liquor were the other two. 🧐🤔
@patrickmaline425812 күн бұрын
turns out jazz would never become popular enough to pose a threat and liquor is both impossible to suppress and at worst a temptation over which god gave us free will to decide for ourselves. however, we’re threatening our own future with fossil fuels and the automobile industry bears a great deal of responsibility for that. covering up vital information, such as global warming’s existence, is highly anti-social behavior and that’s exactly what they did in collusion with the oil industry who actually discovered global warming… in the 1970’s. now it’s 50 years later and we usually have 3X as many hurricanes as we used to have. my only question is… where’s the off switch? ☮️❤️🌍🌏🌎

Taylor may like dudes well enough but, as she says here, she really respects women and I think she would be happiest with a woman. Sexually attracted to both, but romantically attracted to women. I am also equally sure she checks KZbin comments for important life advice.

Father called her to ask where she was? Isn’t Tayler young enough for her cell phone to have had a GPS chip? 11, or so, years ago when I returned my niece my brother asked why I took a particular road, he was tracking his daughter’s phone
@FredrikAdolvsson10 күн бұрын
She's 30 so, yeah, if she was old enough to go to the mall, GPS-chips in cell phones was a thing and probobly commonplace. But her father might not have known how to track her phone, and even if he did he might ask here as a kind of power trip or something like that.
@LarthV9 күн бұрын
@@FredrikAdolvsson Or he might not have used the GPS chip fully knowing and technically trusting her, but still have called her as a power move - just in case, you know.

😁Wow! Gotta say - I enjoyed this video as much (which is a lot, T Tomlinson is my favorite comedian) as all the others I've watched. That said: This one felt a little like she was testing the boundaries of funny vs good taste just a tiny bit. I could care less and in general appreciate testing of boundaries. That said: I'm about as opened minded as one can get these days with just a few exceptions. However, I'm just one old man whose lived 72 years of up downs and all arounds and enjoyed most of it. You aren't gonna shock me or piss me off. I, though, do not fall into the mainstream of society. Sooooo... word to the wise from a big fan who would miss ya if the lefty scum somehow got ya canceled.
