Seems like the cool thing to do nowadays is to hate on Taylormade. Get fitted properly and almost all the top end brands perform similarly. Granted some are more bit forgiving than others, but ball speeds from center strikes are close to even with the major brands. I got fitted last season for Taylormade woods and irons and I’ve played the best in my life with these clubs. However, I found the center of the face more last year too. It’s more the Indian than the arrow.
@davefawkes88844 жыл бұрын
Should have disabled the wild one? TM would have been quite a bit better. Understand you wanted a realistic average, but that one would be disabled during a fitting.

Driver fitting today at American Golf. No Mizuno woods stocked for some reason. Good experience. Cobra SZ suited my eye best. Tried Ping, SIM, Maverick and fitter moved me back to Cobra to finish. Ended up with Aldila Rogue 60 as the best for me. Just need £350 now! Dispersion tightened by 20 yds and increased range by 20 yds. Compared to FlyZ with PXV shaft. Curious whether I could get eBay F9 with comparable shaft, but don’t know which shaft would be comparable‽

If you toss the shot from hell to the right, then the SIM driver out performed the Mizuno by 20 yards. Does that mean that the dampening foam injection in the Taylormade doesn't quite return the face to spec? Or does that mean that the "twist face" design actually produces a more efficient strike, when hit with a squared face?

One other thing too about the twist face that you seem to chuckle about repeatedly like its non functionable and a lie ... The twist face is designed to help you on slight mishits , the circle on the face on the M5 is about the limit of its functionality , anything outside of that and all bets are off . In other words , when you mishit your driver that much and out side the at circle heel or toe , the twist face is not going to help you . Again , its designed for slight mishits , not huge misses ... Does it work ? When I went to the M3 from the original M1 but stayed with the same shaft , my fairway stats went up quite a bit ... I think it may have something to do with it ,,, Good day Mark

Must be easier to go past tolerance and bring it back BUT do they put a custom amount of “speed injection” in every driver. If not they can’t be building past tolerance equally every time (given they didn’t build to tolerance accurately every time) so don’t they still have the same variances after they’ve “brought it back”? Bit wordy but is it a custom amount of injection?
