Ok, I get choked up talking about thinning hair. I’ve always had such thick hair, curly hair, age, hormones, menopause has caused my hair and it scares me. I am currently trying some new products to see if they help - it seems some help for a while and then suddenly they stop working ?? If these work then I will share . We are blessed living in the cities we live in NYC & Los Angeles- I think we have more options - but nonetheless, it’s a scary thing to go through - as I hear your voice seem to choke back when you talk about this- it always chokes back some tears- thanks for sharing ! I will definitely look into these 💝have a wonderful weekend - thanks for all the hard work you put into these videos💝

I feel you! I get sad looking at my old photos and seeing my hair now. 😭😭 hoping some of these tips will help and also reducing heat.
@sullij633 ай бұрын
I eat one to two brazil nuts every day for the selenium, which helps with collagen production. I find it helps. I haven’t owned a blow dryer in decades or any appliances that cause wear and tear on ny hair. I am careful with hair items that pull on my hair such as elastics or clips. I also go a few days between washes. I always had oily hair but as I’ve aged I no longer have that problem. Good luck on your journey and keep us all posted!!

100% agree with all that! Good for you for figuring out the heat is our hair's enemy! Only those with very thick textured hair can handle the heat devices. The rest of us must avoid at all costs.

I dont have fine and thin hair, but thank you so much for creating this video to help others. Social media is flooded with thick, beautiful hair, and it makes a lot of people feel insecure. As someone with a thicker hair texture, some of your recommendations will also work for me. Thank you ❤.

Taylor I have very very fine textured hair like you and it took me YEARS to figure out that heat of any kind was making it hard for me to grow my hair. My hair, like yours, is also very wavy and that makes your hair even more fragile because of how the hair grows out of the shaft, making it even more prone to breakage. Even after 3 kids and having no time to curl and blow dry, I continued these things until one day it occurred to me (in my 40s) that my hair actually looked GOOD when I left it alone. I wash my hair at night and let it air dry and the next day I spray with a continuous fine mist of water to rehydrate and then apply a cream for curly hair (Iles formula, Loreal Curl Expression, etc), scrunch it up and I'm on my way. I have been able to grow my hair to a very long length and very healthy. I also limit my highlights to once every 6 months with touch ups on my gray areas with a demi-permanent (Redken Shades EQ) color that I apply myself just in the small areas I need them. Complete game changer. No heat whatsoever and my hair actually looks better than when I did all that stuff to it, blow outs, curling, etc. I decided going with what I have naturally is easier, cheaper and I'm not fighting against what my hair wants to do. ❤❤❤

Thank you for posting this! It’s comforting to know others have this problem. I often feel like it’s just me!! Some of the products I love: Kitsch rice protein shampoo and conditioner bars (rice protein is supposed to be great for hair growth and these leave my hair feeling clean and conditioned but not weighed down) I also like the kerastase blond absolu shampoo I always use a mask on my hair. Although it seems counter productive, I think it’s really important to keep fine fragile hair hydrated - especially if it’s coloured. My favourite masks are Davines Oi hair butter and Christoph Robin prickly pear mask For bond builder I really like the Goldwell pro bond minute mask - again leaves hair feeling great and not weighed down. I sometimes use Ouai leave in conditioner but also really like the Aveda cherry blossom leave in conditioner. It actually adds a bit of volume. It feels strange at first - like you have too much product in your hair but this goes away once hair is dry. For styling/heat protection my favourites are the colour wow blow dry doray or the kerastase l’incroyable blow dry cream. I’ve also hair good results from the Champoo scalp serum (available at Harrods) and can see baby hairs growing on my scalp and areas where my hair has receded. I know you’ve probably done this, but have you had blood tests? You could be lacking something or have hormone or thyroid issues. I take a multi vitamin, B12, biotin and collagen. Also, I hear recently that it’s so important to eat a high protein breakfast, as protein consumed later in the day tends to get used for muscle growth as your moving/exercising so it’s really important to get protein first thing so your hair can benefit. I’ve never been a breakfast eater and am vegan so getting enough protein - especially first thing is something I just don’t do, and I’ll be making some changes to see if it helps!! Good luck 🙂 x

Hi, I have the same problem, but I am 46 years old and my hair is wavy, so I think it is easier to conceal my lack of hair. Regarding the K18, I think it is supposed to apply 6 or 8 times continuously when you are beginning to use it . The products that have worked for me are: Kundal scalp tonic (Korean skin care), Aromatica Rosemary shampoo and conditioner (Korean skin care), Vichy anti hair loss shampoo (derma French skincare) and a good mousse to hair volume to style like Ref ones. Good luck!

@@TaylorMorello it’s basically micro needles puncture your scalp but it does not hurt! The special serums and meso cocktails are applied so when the micro needle puncture your skin it brings all the ingredients to the root which makes it very effective. Usually this type of treatments are done at Beaty clinics that are doing Botox and lip fillers. I’m sure further research and consultation at trichologist can help you more🌷
