I met a woman through a random comment thread on Facebook about this time six years ago. I enjoyed our interactions so I sent her a friend request which she accepted. If she can't pay her share, it shows how much she's irresponsible with her finances. I mean IF she can't pay, that means she's broke. If she's willing to pay her share without any "inner tantrum", it shows that she can and will pull her own weight, during a relationship. That's what equality is all about.

Nah, you are missing the base line 'logic' of it. Men are not even seen as human, we are only seen as the function we perform. Saying that men are treated as ATMs isn't a joke because that is all we are seen as. The only way they can view us is as a tool.

When I met my current wife in college, she came from money, and she knew I didn't. She didn't resent me for not being able to pay for dinner at Denny's a few times. We were married 9 months later, and for the last 27 years I have been able to make it possible for her to work ONLY if she wanted to, but never needed to. I afforded her the opportunity to raise our kids without a daycare doing it and taking her whole paycheck (essentially, her only working to pay for child care and having no say in what they're tought) during my field training and deployments and ever since leaving the military. My point is that just because a guy can't or won't pay for dinner in his late teens or early twenties, doesn't mean he's trash. It means that with a supportive and loving wife, he can meet his future potential. Less than 1% of men in their twenties will be indipendantly wealthy without coming from money to begin with.
