My wife past away 2 years ago at 34. I was extremely lucky to he been married to her. The moment I knew I would marry her is on our second date she told me to pick something I like to do and she paid and wouldn’t let me spend a dime. Also she made a little more then I did but never threw it in my face and it didn’t bother me. When it came to vacations I would try to stay in 4-5 star resorts only to be told by her “that’s a waste of money.” As long as it’s clean she was good. We ended up eloping because I was not about to spend thousands paying ppl to watch me get married lmao, we spent our money on our bachelorette and bachelor parties and our honeymoon and kept the wedding as cheap and easy as possible. Now 10 years later my husband is spending a couple thousand on this gorgeous diamond ring I found that I love and we are in a great place financially. No significant debt at the moment and we both just got raises at work. We both grinded to get everything we have, and it's made it so much better in our marriage. I've met SO many women who have no idea how to compromise or work hard for their relationships they just want the men to do everything and it's so funny how they then complain about not being able to find a "decent man". Great life story. My wife and I met in the military and got married at 20. No ring and in front of a judge. 35 years later we have 2 grown sons and have built a very nice life together. We enjoy doing everything together and have many of the same interests/hobbies. I'm told I married a unicorn, but I think solid mates are out there, just stay off the dating apps and get out and meet people either volunteering or joining a group activity you like. I'm married and here watching all of these videos because I have 3 boys and I like the more "modern" advice. Wrong Taylor. Men do travel distances to call off their weddings. A couple of years ago I was working at a Yachting marina in Western Greece where I stuck up a friendship with a female fitness instructor who also worked there. I didn't fancy her myself, she was a bit too assertive but she was definitely attractive. She told me that she had delayed her wedding so that she could enjoy her final days of freedom before deciding to settling down and get married. I did question the nature of her decision because she was in her mid-thirties and of Eastern European origins (and thus lucky to bag a dude as to be later described). After each day of work we would both end up relaxing in our staff lounge. There she would unwind casually describing her latest romantic encounter with one of our clients. Little did she know the a friend of her husband was also staying at the resort and witnessed her debauchery. A couple weeks later her husband flew down from Manchester, UK to tell her that he had decided to end the relationship. He was a tall strapping young lad with far better looks than clients that she'd been dating besides that all of the Women were drooling over him!. He was also a city of Manchester fire chief - thus having a lot going for him. She was absolutely devastated.

A perfect example of modern women doing anything and everything they damn well please and yet still wanting a traditional gentleman to marry them. Here she is in her mid-thirties, damn lucky to have ANY MAN pay her mind and she still was sleeping around on him. Thank God that bro called off the wedding, MAJOR BIG WIN for him. Problem is, it used to be her 3 or 4 friends saying it to them, comforting their friend in her time of need.
