Thank You for a drive down Memory Lane. You didn't go down South Walnut Street, which is where my Uncle lived until he died. His house is gone now forever. I saw your other Taylorville-Video Drive 1988; my gosh you missed his house then too! : ( I LOVE THIS VIDEO. What a trip. I graduated at Taylorville High School in 1978. Gosh, Tastee Treat--home of the best Lemon-Ice-Cream Cone in the world! Bill's Toasty, yup I remember going in there for a burger or two. (World's famous?? lol) I know several people who went to South School. I went to West School, which closed down some years ago. I moved away from Taylorville so I am not up on what has shut down and all that. My years in Taylorville were from 1972 to 1984. Anyway, TY for your video! Truly enjoyed this.

Also so sad to see our hometown was wiped out by a devastinf tornado this town will never be the same again I still get flashbacks and it sucks my house wasn’t hit but a tree snapped between my house and my neighbors and we got a broken window that still needs to be fixed

I was 9 in 1987 and living near Monticello IN. KZbin is the closest thing we’ll have to a time machine! I wonder what the back story is of the people filming and where they are now. It’s weird, they never could imagine someone watching there video on a smartphone sitting in a chair 34 years later.

And you have some good music playing in the background too lol. Back when the radio had good music.

I would love a look back on the town nearly 30 years later. I remember when going to Taylorville (from just outside Morrisonville) was akin to going to the big city. I really need to get back. I've been thinking back a lot lately of Christian County.
