On the eyebrow pencil thingys with the “fork” look on the end......they need to make the “fork prongs” longer. No matter how hard I try, what angle I come at, it just ends up looking like a broad stroke marker would look 🤷🏼‍♀️

I love Arden stroke a brow. It’s a brow pen that’s got a single not triple tip. It gives great strokes and I haven’t had issues with it not depositing color.

Essence Fresh and Fit line has been discontinued. The foundation from the line was my HG and I snapped up a couple bottles I found on eBay.... But yeah, totally gone. It's so sad.

I personally have the opposite opinion of those brow pens. I tried the UD Brow Blade first and it would fade on my skin, sometimes turning green even though the color was too warm for me. The product ran out really quickly. Had issues with the caps not staying on and drying out. Also if it rained or I got even a drop of water near my brow, the ink would puddle and run. I went through three of them before trying something else. I LOVE the Glossier Brow Flick. Much more natural color, stays on my face until the next day if I leave it, even has good staying power with water. And for me it’s so much cheaper since I never used the pencil side of the other and would have to replace so often. Will forever repurchase!

I 100% agree with you about Monsieur Big being a bit of a wet formula. Yet oh how I love that mascara! If I've used more than 1 coat I will seriously stand there with my ring fingers pressing my lashes carefully into a strong curl and within maybe 30-45 seconds I have amazing lashes with a curl that lasts all day. Don't forget to wash your hands immediately after! There nothing quite like walking out of the house at 8am thinking you're having the best makeup day ever, for someone at 2pm to ask you what's that black mark clear across your forehead.

IMHO, neither two that Taylor mentioned nor the L’Oreal are dupes for the CT......I tried and tried and TRIED to make them a dupe......and they just weren’t. I’d consider them “similar” in look from afar, but that’s about it. Honestly, I have found that “dupes” are just as much a personal preference as anything else makeup related......just my opinion ☺️

I love the loreal lumi glotion, i mix it in with all of my foundations and it makes them all look that much better, beautiful and luminous. I don't like layering it though, have to mix it in before applying.

effy kujo that’s what I now do with my CT as well.....I just never see the benefit of layering. Honestly, rarely do I have a product that “shows through” once my foundation is on.....yet, if I mix it in, totally different outcome. I will say this about the CT from my own experience.......I’ve had mine for over a year and I still have plenty of product. I’m sure the same goes for any one of the others as well. For me, personally, something may be really expensive but if it lasts a really long time, then the purchase is worth it for me.

Agree unfortunately most brands don’t have a good shade range for brows. ABH is the only brand that matches me. Most other brands are too ashy, too warm or just dark and darker. ABH gets it right!

I've been using the brow blade for a year and have only been through 3 of them. It's the best - I constantly get compliments and have people ask me if my brows are microbladed (they are not). ❤️ If they ever discontinue, I will be lost.

I bought the MQNY eye liner and am not having the same experience. Any shimmer or foiled shadow I use underneath it still comes through and makes my black eyeliner look light and shimmery. I’ve tried wiping it down on a clean dry cloth just to make sure it wasn’t picking up the shadow and mixing it in but it just wouldn’t cover. It’s ok but not the longest lasting for me with my oily eyelids.

Different product but I have to agree with you about Elf for the win. I spent not just way too much money but time looking for an eyeliner that will stay in my waterline. Then one day at Target I decided to try Elf's waterproof gel liners. Lets just say I buy a backup every month. They only come in 2 colors but right now I'm okay with that because they're the 2 I use most often. However I do hope at some point they will add more shades. What I also hope? That they don't mess with the formula and/or discontinued them...

I didn't experience that with those mascaras but what I did experience was it only worked for me on the 1st day. I got so excited because I couldn't believe how well they separated my lashes without clumping and how fast I was able to do my mascara that day but the very next day? It was like I was using a completely different mascara. I would read/see all these great reviews on Essence mascara and be like "what the hell are they talking about. So not my experience after 1st use". To this day I still don't understand why that happened... 🤷‍♀️

I've tried the Essence Lash Princess (the teal one) and Monsieur Big and for me, the Essence didn't work out because it was a tad too dry at first and got clumpy on me. Because of my horrible allergies and watery eyes, Monsieur Big is the only non-waterproof mascara that I can wear that won't run. It also doesn't take a lot of effort to remove if you do a double or triple cleanse. This video, however, has made me want to revisit the Essence products though.

I like the Milani single stoke brow pen. I love the ash brown color, the long-wearing formula, the tip and the ability to fill in brow spots that are thin without 3 prongs that darken thicker areas of my brows. It's kinda a learning curve to flick your wrist in longer or shorter strokes, but when you get it, it's a great product. AND it's not expensive.

Have you tried the Salon Perfect Brow marker available online from Walmart in a 2-pack? Try the thrive cosmetics mascara. It's a tubing mascara I've never in my life used a tubing formula until that one. But the essence lash princess is very good too. It's not a tubing formula but its amazing!

I don't wear brow pencils since I found glossier boy brow. Elf has a really good dupe for it, brow wow. The elf is more pigmented which I like.

i’m so glad that i was able to get the milani nude glow primer, because it’s extremely hard to find now. i cannot find the essence one at all anymore. i loveeee nyx eyeshadows/palettes. one of my favorite single eyeshadows is in the shade “mermaid”. i’m a cool tone lover through and through, but when i’m feeling feisty i just rock that all over a neutral base shade. i’m loving these “buy this not that” videos. genius idea! ✌🏼

i bought tarte shape tape recently tried for the first time and i did believed it was really dry and made my under eyes almost looking flaky . i like cover girl better , its same shape but it doesn't dry out like that tarte

Hi Taylor! I have a dupe as well (at least I consider it to be).. I love Becca undereye corrector but it's pretty expensive. I tried the Collab undereye corrector and it is phenomenal! It's not a potted product but it is creamy and hydrating. One thing I haven't found a dupe I love for is the Ciate London Vacay All Day (or something like that) setting spray. The Collab one doesn't do it for me. Lol

I love the Brow Flick I’ve had the same one for over a year, and it stays on until I take it off with oil based cleanser even through a 13 hour shift when the rest of my face melts off, lol. Funny how different things work differently for different people. The best tip I got from Katie Jane Hughes, is if you are bending the tip when you are using it, you’re using too much pressure. I love these videos, I’ve gotten so many great recommendations from you over the years, so thank you!

Hey, Taylor, I so love when you do drugstore dupes and recommendations. It's great for those of us who are more financially challenged. That being said, I gotta disagree, but JUST on the brow pencil. And I think this also depends on what color you need, with your hair being blackish, it's probably a bit easier (I used to have cool blue black hair and my brow pencil life was Indeed much easier then lol). I have white blonde hair. And I really mean silvery white platinum. The Hourglass arch micro is the ONLY brow pencil I've found that does a platinum blonde color. All other ones either have a taupe (which is often too dark, too warm or both, or just a blonde color, which is just always too golden. Plus, I do love the different shape of the Hourglass one. Still tiny, but it's like a tiny dash shape, which I find makes better hair strokes and gives a more even line at the front. I really wish a drugstore brand would dupe the shape, but especially the color. White blonde hair is becoming way more popular, so I think making a corresponding brow shade could be super lucrative for brands, but they don't seem to be catching on. If you have any color dupes in a fine tip pencil, I'm all ears, but I've tried literally dozens and haven't found one. Again, always either too dark, too golden or warm, or both. Anyway, just my two cents for those of us with true platinum hair. Other than that one, super specific thing lol, I always try you recommendations. Between your skin tone (about a half shade darker than me and I'm slightly cooler toned) and your makeup style, you're my go-to guru for pale girl products! Love ya! ❤️
