It does matter! The cup should have a little metal fin that sticks out and slots into the cup. These keeps the coilovers from spinning inside the knuckle

since its angled it wont spin or move as because if it tried it would be restricted by the extreme forces holding the wheel cambered, it would have to positive camber to spin , your talking about normal coils they could spin thats why they have the notch
