Wheaten Terrier. Non-shedding. High energy when you come home yet they can sleep a lot. Loves the water, loves the snow. Excellent watch dogs. Herding dogs, will put their nose in the back of your knees when you walk. Rodent hunter... That big black nose works overtime in smelling things. Excellent understanding of vocabulary. They LOVE humans. Loyal as the day is long.

Yes I have one, she's addoggable, gentle, bouncy ,quiet til you get the lead out or put Yr lipstick on then all hell let's loose til she's on her walk . Hates getting her cotters brushed out so daily brushing is a must as she. Tilly doesn't shed . Woopppee

I had a wheaten for 17 years! I'd love to have another someday! Kept all her puppy joyfullness her entire life! She was such a great family dog ❤❤❤

I miss my Wheaton; he was gorgeous and literally stopped traffic. They are exceptionally intelligent and are not understood by many people because they are terrier working dogs like the Giant Schnauzer.

I love this breed. Im in on my second dog of the breed irish soft coated wheaten terrier. its a so loving and caring breed and it would gladly do anything for you. The fist one I had was a huge fan of swimming. When we where on the way to the sea and he notised it, he would howl ..... loudly. And after almost dagging me into the water he would jump off any kind of cliff or bridge and dive into the sea, climbe out, do a little chake and stare at me with over joyed eyes that said "Im gonna do it again!" The one I have now is more into finding things , chasing , and climbing. So i have done a lot of hikes with this one.

I gave murphy Cbd isolate for thunder fireworks. Worked in a minute. He livved to within a month of 19, perfect dog and never got sick. Great loving breed.

Our first Wheaten, Roosa, loved snow and rolling in mud. After she rolled in the mud, all that could be seen was her eyes. Our other two Wheatens, Megan and Alex, also loved the snow. I had to get a bucket of warm water to remove the solid 'snow shoes' from every paw. Oh the joys of having a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier.

My oldest wheaten LOVES the water too. Latte is a north american soft coated wheaten(2 years old) My other is an Irish soft coated wheaten and he is 4 months. It's winter here currently but fingers crossed he likes the water too.

We have a dog before name Alfie like Taz but unfortunately he was adopted by another friend bcoz we have small backgarden ,he has no too much activity and bcoz he is intelligent & very active dog he always try to jump out the fence and landing on another estate. Your farm will be great really specialy for the active doggies (like the terrier)bcoz you try to create a lot of exercises for them which makes them happy & confident. Stay safe & happy.

Lol, our wheatens all have loved water but hated swimming. So they charge into the water, but refuse to go any deeper than about chest deep. If you throw a ball into the water they run in and then stop dead and look at you as if to say, “what did you do that for? I’m not getting that, you get it!”

Is she a good climber too? I thought they wouldn’t be good in a house even with a good size backyard and a daily walk or two. There are some breeds just love rounding up, chasing, high energy needs and wondered if we are not giving them what they would need.
