If anyone has an issue about imperfections in your video, they need to take a look at themselves. What you provide in terms of great images and educational content as well as narratives on your trips is the main thing to take away from your videos Andrew. Today was no different, loved the images and always enjoy seeing them in their raw state and then the final image as its testament to your skill as a photographer to see them in their final state

What a brilliant video mate. This is a great example of a good old fashioned Andrew Marr video . .out on location, wind blowing, waves crashing. The images are simply gorgeous as well. Loved every minute of it Andrew. Take care mate.

Video quality is just fine Andrew, it’s the photography I am really here for. And yes, some of the best light comes long after the sun is over the horizon. It all depends on those clouds. Thanks for sharing again Andrew. Stay safe 🇦🇺

Much appreciated Andrew, Thank you, been looking at 4 walls for the last 18 mths, haven't been out except for medical appointments, gradually walking a little once a week Chasing birds for miles isn't an option any more, but coastal landscape should be an option, your excellent tuition has given this old timer (77), a second option, which should be doable, albeit slowly, In the meantime I have got myself an S6 holder for the 14-24 and a Nisi 6 and a 10 stop, that is about all for the budget right now, bracketing may be my option Regards, ............... Lovely work. I do lament not living close to any coast like this. The nearest one is a three hour drive away (the coast of Lake Superior) .
@Andrew_marr2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul, I wish I lived closer to mountains and forests. I'm lucky to be only 15 minutes away from my local beach which has a few rocks, but it's becoming very popular and is often crowded, so I don't go down there much anymore. In this video, I drove 3 hours south to get to a beach that was quiet and had interesting features. When I was recording the drone footage, I notice some other spots in that same area so it's worth staying for a couple of days to get the most out of the trip. I've just checked out some images from Lake Superior, it looks like a spectacular location.

Gorgeous images, Andrew .Your videos are really informative. Was just wondering whether you Expose to the Right on the field ..the histogram of the first shot suggested otherwise …
@Andrew_marr2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Asimesh! Yeah, I do exposure to the right as a general rule, but stop down sometimes for a few different reasons. I do tend to unexposed my shots, to add a little mood. Also, I was keeping an eye on the sun as it was in and out of the cloud and I wanted to ensure I had detail in the brightest parts of the clouds. I was also compensating for the brightness of the waves when they come crashing through the scene.
@asimeshpal2 жыл бұрын
It was definitely moody ! Thank you for your perspective on the field . Love your content as always ,, keep it coming !

Lovely spot & lovely comp, but not sure the grad filter works here. The top of the rocks are very dark.
@Andrew_marr2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Andy, good pick up mate. I tried a soft GND and it was working. The issue was inbetween the two rocks was the brightest part of the scene and I was addressing that. If I'm honest, I probably was a little lazy and if I was to shoot it again, I'd shoot a second shot with the filter removed and blend the two to add detail back into those rocks.
@rosssayer65242 жыл бұрын
No need to apologize Andrew for anything, just really enjoy your videos. Those 2 images you captured were amazing, one thing I noticed was the histogram was more to the underexposed side, was this the case or not.? Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
@Andrew_marr2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that Ross, it's great to have your ongoing support mate, cheers. Yeah, I do tend to unexposed my shots, to add a little mood. Also, I was keeping an eye on the sun as it was in and out of the cloud and I also compensating for the brightness of the waves when they come crashing through the scene. I might cover this in more detail in another video. 😀

Cheers for that Mike. As you can imagine, there's so much going on as the sun is setting. I don't really want to worry too much about the video camera. I try to set it up so I can hit record and forget about it and focus more on the photography, sharing the story, and providing informative content. So it's good to get comments like yours that are very supportive, thanks!
