This abandoned spot is one that I've had on my list for quite some time. And old dual-carriageway that was first started in the 1970's before being abandoned and never completed. Since they it has been used by the BBC and well as other production companies to film the likes of Casualty, Dr Who, Broadchurch and much more. Casualty filmed their MOST EXPENSIVE scene ever down here where they built and entire motorway bridge and crashed an ambulance into a fuel tanker. BOOM!
A Huge thanks to "The Teasers" for giving me permission to use the song at the beginning of this video. Go show them some love and check out their socials below...

Urban Exploring or the Exploration of Abandoned Places is a hobby which has been around for many years. I explore derelict buildings mainly in the UK to try and uncover the history or discover the story behind why they have been left. Sometimes we find Mansions Full of Stuff or disused properties that have just been forgotten about. Either way, Urbex is always interesting. So join me as we Explore and peek behind the curtain of these Amazing Places.

There is an abandoned railway line between Edgware and mill hill east.. I'm not sure what is left of it.. but as far as I remember.. some of it is.

Wow, what an interesting place. Very nice drone work too. It's nice to have that extra dimension to your videos. Once again your music choices are perfect. Here in Upstate NY in the US there are a lot of movie companies who like to use the the area for filming, but they just shut down all the surrounding roads and really tick off all the poor folks trying to get to work.

You make a lot of good videos but I really love this one. I had no idea such a road existed but now when I think about it this makes perfect sense. Shutting down random roads to film something would cause all manner of problems so of course the BBC would need something they can use on a regular basis. I hope you understand that a lot of your work may very well become an important resource for historians.

Thank you, a very kind comment, not sure how interesting my little adventures will be to historian's 😂 but thank you I really do appreciate the sentiment 👍

@@TazerOnlineMedia Take a look at what historians value and you will see they love first hand accounts and independent sources. Urban explorers are the most perfect source for future historians as you just record stuff with no or minimal interpretation. I love the ethos of taking photos and leaving only footprints. I know this sounds silly but as someone who loves history I am sure urban explorers will be referenced a great deal in the future. That is of course if we're all still around and have not been reduced to a glowing ember after a nuclear conflict. Take a look at people who recorded things only 50 years ago and see how people are now scrambling to save that information.

I live near the road to nowhere somehow you and Tom scott have made it actually seem interesting and not just a useless road that is soemtimes covered in signs. I still doubt they'll do anything with it because everyone uses it as part of the common and no there wasnt a bridge they build them a lot

The width of the lanes looks to e much narrower than present dual carriageway specifications!

Nice video. Unlikely they would have flipped the image in Casualty as they'd then have to get left hand drive cars and reverse other things like signs for the flip to work. Far more likely they used one side to stand in for a single carriageway shot.
@TazerOnlineMedia

It depends cause I know a great deal of what u see in the episode was CGI, they even had CGI bollards the ambulance hit as it flipped and a CGI town around the bridge so u might find they just added road signs and stuff after. As for left hand drive stuff pretty easy to not show that when filming from outside the cars especially at night cause u can just black out the windows in editing

@@TazerOnlineMedia I realise you aren't replying to me, but a lot of viewers are probably subscribers and not those who turn notifications on, let alone this far in advance. You're probably doing yourselves out of a lot of viewers by putting this out as a premier so far in advance.
@TazerOnlineMedia

Considering when I put the last premiere up this far in advance last month it did better then previous videos and is currently second in my my most recent 10 video's, I'm not so sure. I'm testing new things, and so far videos posted in advance have done better then videos posted a few days ahead. Time will tell, but considering I've been on the platform for a good chunk of years and none of the "rules" that usually work have worked, my channel has not really got noticed or ever had a large influx of fresh subs, just been a slow, long process. I think it's time try something away from the normal.

Perhaps posting one video a month is contributing to your ills then. Every other channel I follow from exploring to more general topics have a more regular pattern which keeps them on the radar so to speak. And yes of course I’m aware people have lives etc and maybe can’t do more than one a month but it’s certainly a factor. Because of the small number of uploads, it only takes a subscriber to not enjoy a video or skip past it for whatever reason and you slowly drift off their radar. I’ll be honest I did that on your last couple just out of personal Preference and then when I saw your notification thing I had to look back at your page as I couldn’t remember last time I’d even watched one of your vids. Anyway. I do like your content and will have a watch if it comes on my feed in three weeks.

@@Win-xl7no I'm not sure how much u keep up with my channel but my schedule has been explained a few times, I used to upload weekly videos, but this is no longer possible due to the amount of time my friends and I get to explore now, and due to the fact that numerous people who I explored with over the years just don't do it as a hobby anymore. I've been and done the chasing subs and views thing, and it doesn't end well. I make videos as a hobby now, I work full time as a video editor and production assistant so this has to take a back seat now. As much as I love u guys watching the vids, I don't make them for u. I make them for me, cause I enjoy making them. I've always been an editor over an explorer and KZbin was and will continue to be a place where I can try new things and practice my filming and editing skills. But it has to take a back seat to real life. The videos I make might take a day to film 2-3 (if I'm extremely lucky and we don't have any explore fails) but your looking at 10-30 hours on each video to edit them. I love making vids, but it isn't my job. So for now the monthly videos suit me, I understand people might want more, I totally get that, and if I could produce them faster or film more I would. But as it is if I did weekly vids I would run out of videos in a month or two and then go 3-4 months without uploading. So I'd rather space them out.
