it isn't balanced. Insurgent riflemen have much worse guns. Advisor class on insurgents is just horrible. And the breacher doesn't have good options apart from mp5.

​​@@MaccusFNS It is balanced. Rifleman have equally good guns but in a different way. If you can't get kills with the AKM/AK74 then that's a skill issue. The only "bad" gun for the rifleman is the M16A2 and I put bad in quotes because it is literally the best gun for insurancents for large maps (other than snipers/DMRs) The only "bad" gun on the advisor class is the SKS, and I put bad in quotes because if you have a fast finger it doesn't matter that it is not full auto. The breacher also gets the AS VAL, the best CQC gun in the game. They also get the two best shotguns. All these will getting a free gas mask and cheaper guns.

even though this game only gets an average of 3000 daily users. it has an extremely loyal community, everyone who likes insurgency, LOVES insurgency. This is why the devs still update the game to this day. thank you for continuously giving this game more recognition, more people playing= bigger and better updates.

Last light is one of the favorite maps in the game for me. I remember playing it a lot before the update when it was just a modded map. Not something people usually think about in Insurgency but this map is kinda beautiful

I don't see how adding a progression system adds anything to the gameplay; you have the same content, but now locked behind a level/challenge grind which doesn't add anything to the gameplay. It would literally just end up limiting the content people can access, without adding anything to the game.

Probably is used to tactical Instead of unrealistic ttk and such. I won't play call of duty either maybe battlefield but going to sandstorm (feels very real and slaps at everything) and then playing call of duty makes modern arcade shooters feel way to sweaty and I crawl back to sandstorm.

@@marcusclarkson2657 Just as I said I'm not used at all to FPS like COD. Movement is different, TTK isn't something I'm used to and also 5 v 5 matches are uncomfortable for me. I'm more comfortable being at least about 10 v 10. Anyway the main takeaway here is that my first FPS I invested significant time in was Insurgency 2014. So I feel comfortable in games like that and uncomfortable in ones that are new to me.

Me and my friends still play this game so very often on console it’s so good. The gun play is so good it’s such a satisfying game. Much better than cod or battlefield I would say personally since I appreciate realistic shooters that require strategy and communication. It feels so much more rewarding

Technically, Insurgency Sandstorm is basically Insurgency 3. The first Insurgency was called Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat, a community mod for the Source engine. And then NWI remade the game into Insurgency. And then after the massive success from Insurgency, they made Sandstorm.

What i love about Insurgency is that you don't have to grind so much for certain weapons and equipment. You just have points to spend. Like Counter Strike.

This is by far one of the best map they added into the game, and the prettiest looking too. They definitely took time with this one and it shows. I just wished they either hired more people or somehow pour more resources to put out more content because there's simply no other game like insurgency sandstorm. I fucking love this game but I've already spent 1000 hours on the same maps, guns and gamemodes. I do hope that the reason they been drop feeding us is because they are working on sandstorm 2

With tarkov, you could always try SPT (single player tarkov). You do have to have a legitimate copy of EFT, and it's kinda difficult to set up (at least for me it was because the automatic install didn't work) but it is fun. Also, the devs don't like it much at all but whatever.

I feel like the main thing holding Sandstorm back is the controls. Sadly you can just about feel that it isn't a AAA game, which doesn't bother me personally but in a time where everyone is used to seemless controls many people hesitate to play this game for longer which is when you stop noticing the average controls. Is it really forgotten? I mean it was released on consoles relatively recently (around a year ago?), so more and more people are getting into Sandstorm daily. Reddit is alive, and even on PS it finds lobbies super-fast without crossplay or subscription giveaway, like on XGP. Game is pretty alive for such niche genre and I'm really happy about it.

Its a great game, played it quite a bit. Not many updates or anything to work towards.. Since MW2 I havnt been back to it which sucks that I choose that over this good game. It needs something to make you want to play more I guess. Even the points to unlock skins and stuff takes so damn long. Like 30 games just to get enough points to buy something decent. Game has a lot of potential to be the best for sure.

People didn't forget about it, they just stopped playing it because they completely went away from what the game was supposed to be, they pretty much never add new content, and when they do, it just mods that have been available for over a year. Literally this newest update is exactly that, mod content that they somehow took months and months to officially add to the game. It was the same with the last update, and the one before that, etc. This game just isn't really fun without mods now.

One thing you gotta do in Insurgency is trust yourself. Constant reloads after kills are actually a bad thing. Splits your bullets between more mags, so your overall ability to lay down fire is reduced. Eventually you'll have five mags with 15-20 rounds, when instead you could have two or three full mags. Much better. Second, double tap that reload button. Once you're done with a mag, it's useless. Just dead weight. Toss it. You'll move faster, aim quicker, and be quieter. Plus, much faster reload times. Doing those things really does elevate your gameplay just a bit above what you were before. It's a small, but very noticable uptick in kills and survivability.
