The trick is to never actually drive into the objective but stay back and snipe until resistance is low and your team is in, I’ve seen many big brains die in about 5 seconds and waste a good asset.

To me the assault truck can be pretty op on certain maps and modes, the airburst Canon can kill or damage on infantry behind cover and can still do decent damage against armor, the odd setup is hard to master though.

The putilov is hard to get into but its a killing machine in the right hands. The most usefull variant is the recon, the other two are not that great. The assault variant is only usefull if you stay close to infantry, which means you have to be close to the frontline, which means you are dead within seconds. The antitank variant isnt that bad at killing tanks but you have to snipe them to be effective. Thats why you should use the recon variant, it shreds infantry. *Why is it the recon variant so good?* - PROXIMITY fuzed shells. Shells explode near an enemy even if they are hiding behind cover. Just shoot above them and you will do damage but you'll always need two to put someone down so i suggest shooting with the machingun when you have clear line of sight and finish them off with the proximity shell. - spotting flares. You can shoot spotting flares near your tank that have a bigger spotting radius than the regular spotting flare. - you are fast as fucc. Once you cleared an obejective with you proximity shells and spotting flares you can quickly pull away and engage somewhere else. *How to engage?* - Only get onto a flag when its relatively safe (1-3) enemies - When you want to cap a flag, but its pretty crowded, hang back a bit and let the infantry do the work while you shoot flares and pick off enemies behind cover. - If the flag seems clear, get on the flag, pop flares and sweep up any leftover infantry. - never engage tanks unless you have no other option *Driving/positioning?* - you can switch back to driver mode by holding the button you used to switch to your gunner seat (triangle for ps4, Y for xbox). - When disengaging switch back to driver mode, because it makes driving significantly easier because now you can drive forward. And added benifit is that you drive faster when driving forward. - always position sideways from the target. This way your gunner can shoot as well (which most of them do when they can actually see an enemy) and you strafe and shoot when necessary. - always position yourself in a way you can easily drive away when necessary. Your speed is your strenght - if you want to quickly move your turret from on to the other side, switch to driver mode and then to you gunner mode. If you switch to driver mode it will put the turret in the neutral postion behind you and if you switch to gunner mode it will aim at the side you are looking at. This is way quicker than rotating your turret al the way around.

As a war, (not a game) its very interesting from a historical perspective. You have machine guns and swords, tanks and horses, and yet some parts of the war were extremely civilized and gentlemanly. Yet they gassed people to death and bombarded each other mercilessly with artillery. Its a war of great contrast and it is worthy of note!

I don´t know where you heard that, but it is simply wrong. Like every other tank in WW1 the A7V had some problems, nonetheless it proved it self in combat. Compared with the Entente tanks it had better firepower and armor and yet decent speed. The real problem was that the project never left the experimental phase and only about 20 A7Vs were build before the war ended. It is actually very impressive that the first attempt by the Germans to build a tank was such a success.

The faulty design of the A7V is a myth, it was actually pretty well thought out if you consider the circumstances. The german engineers developed it with limited ressources in just few months (6 weeks for the first prototype). Other tanks were way worse when going over terrain. (for example the Saint Chamond and Schneider CA1). The incident you are referring to is the tankbattle of Villers-Bretonneux, where three Mk IVs (one male, two female) fought against one A7V. The A7V damaged the two female MKs so badly they had to retreat, before itself was hit by multiple shots of the male MKIV and the crew had to leave their tank behind. That is to my knowledge the only well recorded engagement of a MK IV and an A7V (I think there isn´t even a second tankbattle) and therefore I wouldn´t say the result was typically.

The light tank with the flanker variant is so powerful against infantry, especially since so many assault players see you as a free kill and rush in a straight line and get minced by the rapid fire shotgun Autocannon thing, oh yeah its also effective at long range even tho it has a spread shot. The Anti-Tank Russian Truck is actually a beast of a vehicle. It outguns the Arty Truck, can fire on the move, and is more mobile than the Arty Truck. And you certainly don't have to drive in reverse. You just have to drive at an angle. It is the best flanking vehicle, mostly due to its mobility and has 2 seats for players to spawn on(and hopefully get out and capture points).

a big plus side of the saint-charmond is that you can repair it on the move. All vehicles require to stop moving completely in order to self repair, but the saint charmond though if you don't do a full stop it keeps going forward or backwards, so basically, you need to repair your tank and leave? go downhill and while the tank is going downhill you can repair

I remember that my best moment with the light tank was during operations doing the Kaisershlactin the city. I used the support light tank with it's fixed turret and big snubnosed gun. If you had a good squad willing to protect your flanks you can help your entire team push down the tight roads and go into the alleys to help your team break through flanking positions.

You dont have to rotate your turret all the way to the other side, you can switch back to driver mode and then to gunner mode (by holding triangle ps4 and Y for Xbox) to instanly rotate your turret. It makes driving so much easier.

The Hellriegel isn't that OP no more. SMG 08 (or Maxim SMG, as I like to call it) is better, but the most noob SMG is the Automatico Trench (aka Autismatico). Also, you forgot to mention RSC rifle. On standard servers it is pretty good rifle and it's fun to use it, but on hardcore servers it's a pure cancer. It's semi-auto rifle, which kills on one shot. Just like bolt-action rifle. So there's tons of noobs using RSC on hardcore servers. For me, hardcore servers are more challanging. Hell, most of the time I play on hardcore servers I use bolt-action rifles. But for some people, they are just a new way to abuse some noob gun, just because they kill faster...

One pro tip for using the Aritllery Truck is to always have a good escape route. As in, once you start taking damage, always have a good way to get out of the situation and have some cover. For example, if I'm on the crest of a hill and the battle is to the left of me, then I know if I get hit, I can just turn right and go behind the hill, thus giving me cover. The exception to always having an easy out is if your pushing with a bunch of infantry. If you're surrounding by infantry teammates then it frees you up to be more aggressive. Here's another pro tip for using the artillery truck: if you get hit and you don't know where the hit came from, then get out of there. The artillery truck doesn't have very much armor so if you get hit once and don't know where it comes from, by the time you find out where it did come from, you're probably already getting hit for a second time. And if you get hit twice by say, the rocket launcher or the anti-tank grenades, then you're at a high risk for getting destroyed. Even two poorly placed rocket attacks can take a big chunk out of your health. But if you're following my first tip, getting hit once isn't usually a big deal because you can just slip behind some cover... Positioning is key for using the artillery truck. It's easy and intuitive to understand that you have to put yourself in an advantageous position to go on the attack, but too many players don't equally emphasize the importance of actively avoiding putting yourself into disadvantageous situations. My last tip is this: if you want to be aggressive with the artillery truck then try to have friendly infantry around you; especially behind you. One of the biggest threats to the artillery truck is someone sneaking up behind you and laying mines or throwing TNT (3 sticks can easily KO a truck). And if you can't have infantry around you, then be behind the infantry. As in, all of the flags behind me are owned by our team AND I can see that the bulk of the battle is in front of me. And try not to sit in a position where your flank is always exposed. For example, don't have an enemy captured flag right behind you; somewhere where the enemy can spawn in and quickly get close to you. If you're in a spot where an enemy flag is close by, and you're engaging someone off in the distance, then all it takes is a few seconds for an enemy player to spawn in and get behind your truck. Quick bonus tip: it never hurts to occasionally look behind you. A good assault player can easily take out an artillery truck if they have the advantage and come from behind. Not only can AT mines and TNT pretty much TKO an artillery truck, but so can 2 quick AT grenades followed by a well placed rocket hit.

Recently I've started to love the FT-17, sidecar, and horse. I love each one of them. Sidecar, it's fun to have a stupid amount of speed, and I even ran over an enemy once. Horse, pretty self explanatory, I get to run enemies over, and slice them with a sword, although I'm not very good on the horse. And my favorite of them all, the FT-17. I love having just myself having full control over the tank. The machine gun, the cannon, and the speed, I love it all

I use the Cavalry class most of the time, on average, I can get 50 kills with 2 or less deaths, No tank, nor ship no man in the air, can kill the one riding my steed. Tanks are slow and can't move around to face my horse and Anti-Tank grenades, after about 6 to 8 grenades the tank is out of the game. As a horseman the greatest struggle I would say I face is not always the soldiers, or the planes, or really anything oppossing me, its my horse, sometimes he'll get stuck on a pebble or in my rush to kill someone my horse decides to get stuck in a bunch of rubble while I try to figure out what is going on, as is reasonable, my person can only take so much fire. Having the best sniper rifle (cavalry variant) the best pistol (1911 ) able to heal yourself, can give yourself unlimited ammunition, has unlimited grenades, has unmatchable speed, has two vaible options for melee weapons, which do instant kill on top of the horse (sword and lance) has a great amount of health, can get you across the map sooner, has special armor (more health). I really see no more than a few disatvantages to the horse, some may say they can duck on the ground, I can run you over, shoot you, throw grenades, so that one is refuted. Others may say they will kill me with an AT, and that works, its a great way to kill a horse, but you have to aim at my top speed, always moving character, and dodge my bullets and grenads, and once you move from the ground I will slice you will my cold, sweet blade. In all reality, nothing can stop an excellent cavalry player in BF1, especially if they are pumped and on a good streak.

I couldn't agree more. The best vehicle of BF1: the Horse. I have a total of almost 70 Stars of Service with the horse. In my opinion, it's the most versatile vehicle in the whole game. He's fast. It can be cured. Have unlimited ammunition. Instakill secured. On average in games I do 70 Kills without any deaths. Nothing can stop a very good cavalry. Its mobility is unique in its class. I mean... The horse is a beast! I prefer the spear to the sword, but both are excellent. It is capable of dealing with all vehicles with the grenades, even planes (Yes, I have been in the situation of eliminating planes with those grenades). It's wonderful to play with the horse. You never get bored. And best of all, it acts as a team and not alone, something that very few tanks can do (The Mark with its version with the mortar, the A7V, the Saint-Chamond with its 4 seat version, etc). If you want to be a good cavalry, you have to team up with your team.

Imo the landship can be more usefull using the tank hunter kit, gives the driver much more firepower and a pseudo sniper, as long as both gunners balance between infantry and vehicle targeting so one or the other doesnt get you it can be terrifying, especially at range
