M3 Infrared quickly became my favourite Gun. It's fast, fast reload5, high damage and most importantly, has a supressor. Supressor gives you huge advantage. It never shows your enemy from where you shot him. And I like it. Got it all Gold already. EDIT- I Just became Master of Poland with M3 Infrared

i lowkey really like the M3. the scope takes a little getting used to, but once you’ve put a couple hours in then you can generally figure out where the target is reliably, and it’s a really good gun under the scope which helps. it’s literally a 16 round locked m1a1 with a suppressor and a bipod - if you just use it how you would an m1a1 with the accuracy build and a 3x scope, you can get some nice matches

The M3 Carbine was suppose to be a night fighting weapon and that’s the reason for the big scope... the infrared sensor is used to locate heat signatures in the dark and transfer that information to the scope which contains the battery pack, the filter is very bright to many players because it was never meant to be used at day time... I strongly recommend using this weapon in maps that has a night time option in it...

that's...not how IR scopes work though it uses incorrect phosphor tubes (it should be green, not white), what happens is that the outermost lens captures IR light and visible light, multiplies it within the phosphor tube, then uses the light it captured to create an image in visible light form from the phosphor tube itself

The FMG-9 is actually based around the Glock 18. It also isnt the first folding machine gun. Guns like the MAS-38 Police and the PP-90 were around years before the FMG9 went into production.

infrared scopes were introduced right near the end of the war. they wouldn’t really have been used in the way they are in bfv - it was a pretty heavy piece of kit, so it was mostly used for night guard positions, but hey. it’s cool to see

I like using the Mare’s Leg with an ACOG for Engineer to compensate for the low PDW range (if using a PDW). I know the .44 Magnum actually has longer range, but since I’m not a BF Veteran in BF4, I don’t get the Scope (3x).

The M3 Infared is my best and most used gun these days because it’s so versatile. It can snipe (to an extent), it can be used to attack, it can defend objectives, it has a fast reload and on some maps like Solomon Islands the filter is overpowered

the gun from Bf5 with the big ass scope is an m1 carbine (a gun that was usualy carried by tank crews because of how lightweight it was ) and the scope is the first Infrared scope to ever be created so with the light m1 and infrared vision made for it to be quite historical in its stealth capabilities and with it being patient 0 for modern day infrared vision in the military thats probably why they wanted to put in the game not for its efficiency in the life of an average day players but for historians and gun nerds

FMG 9 means "foldable machine gun" and folds in to a briefcase. It's basically a G10 pistol with an extended magazine with the compartment wrapped around it.

The difference between the Schwarzlose SMG (SMG 08-18) and the Hellriegel is that there are two remaining Schwarzlose SMGs in the world. There was only ever one Hellriegel, and so little is known about it that we don’t even understand how the weapon could have been reloaded.

Technically there was only one prototype of the helreigel 1915 smg and I believe it didn't survive. Forgotten weapons does a pretty good breakdown of the gun based on historical photographs. That being said it is the most unique gun in BF1

M3 Infra-red perform almost exact the same as M1A1, same recoil, same RoF, same damage. So it's not suitable for long-range sniping, and that's why you feel it trash when playing in Iwo Jima lol.
