The worst to me are those match losing team mates that just use the tanks to snipe. So annoying and they 9 times out of 10 lose the game just by being selfish. Tanks are meant for pushing with infantry back up.

@@Marvininini Yeah but in most of these servers the admins are either r blind/don't play that often or just don't care. I mostly play on 200% dmg server where the artillery truck, heavy bomber, Vehicle camping and m1917 mg is banned, and in every single game the same guy either camps on the maps border with artillery truck (or if in amiens or other citymap) camps in places where you can't get behind him. Heavy bombers aren't that effective in this server since the plane spawns, it's shot down before it can release it's bombs on effective area.

Battlefield 1 lives! The deadest ive ever saw it was a year ago (western United States). Servers used to die at about midnight, but now, ive been able to find servers running 24/7. Its great to be back!

It's easier to program and better for the servers if the game's player count are a power of 2 like 64 or 128. If you have a player count of say 80, you're practically using the same amount of space in memory as a server with 128 players.

I've been playing on PC almost daily since launch, and honestly, I haven't had major issues with cheaters. Yeah, they were around, but in my experience, it wasn't that bad. I usually joined servers with admins who handled them pretty quickly. If there were no admins, I’d just leave and hop into another match-there are plenty of full servers, at least in Europe.

Yeah I’ve played consistently on pc since 2021 and I have only ever encountered 2-3 cheaters on U.S servers. None of the community servers had any cheaters and they had the same configuration and progression of official servers so the game was thriving. The anti cheat is definitely appreciated though

It never needed a revive! All they did with this update was cause a bunch of errors and crashes for PC users, along with preventing, Linux, Steam Deck, windows 7, and realism mod users from being able to play the game ever again. Its a disaster.

you just can tell if this game came out now, in order to play it at 4k high settings 60 fps you'd need a 4090 and dlss quality. The fact that this 8 year old game is able to run at 4k on my 30 series graphics at stable 60 fps, while looking like a piece of art, is astounding. Nowadays you need a 4000$ pc setup to run games with all bells and whistles enabled

I very recently got my PC upgraded, not only to get better performance, but because I wanted to play games like Battlefield 1 again. I've had this itch for awhile to play it again, and finally started playing it again a few days ago. And dude, OMFG how i've missed this game soo much, holy shit. I don't even really care that i'm not at all used to playing BF1 on mouse and keyboard, I always played it on PS4 back in the day. I'm just having soo much fun taking in the gameplay, the atmosphere, the sounds. And the music is just chef's kiss. I'm not sure if this is by default or by chance, but every time the game boots up, it plays "Lacrimosa" from the Apocalypse DLC. Considering that was one of, if not my actual favourite pieces of music from the game, it's like the game is consciously reminding me why I love Battlefield 1 soo much and why it's one of my favourite games in general. This really was the last great Battlefield imo

hardest achivement to get in BF1 nowadays is using every turning tides weapon since you have to do 20 flag capture using boats to unlock naval cutlass. and it's kinda hard to search a turning tides server.

For those thinking that BF1 is infested with hackers, it is not, there are but only in public servers and there are actually plenty of private servers with most of them having 5+ players in queue to join. In other words, this game even after 8 years still has lots of players and is totally worth playing.

I want to buy it on winter sale at Steam. I wanted to play it since 2018 when I first time saw playthrough of single mode. I was only 8 years old then 😢 such nostalgia. I still think that BF 1 is the best modern Battlefield. So much unique features such as horses, gases, naval battles with big ships, giants mechanic, cool melee animations with lots of various sometimes exotic melees, multi crew tanks, full enter/exit animations for ALL vehicles. Also there is so much details such as historical Austro-Hungarian flag for example. Also not many games about WW1 have all major nations (plus even Russian revolution 😮). Also teamwork is the best in modern Battlefields too. I would want to say about graphic, I think it's even better than in BF 5. Setting is also cool. There is no bright pink skins for trench battons like in BF 2042 or CoD. Atmosphere is arcade, but realistic. Few maps is realistic epic and shows usual WW1 picture. And sounds... Well... Sounds are just super. If you turn off the HUD or try to listen to them imaging a real battle, then they would be just terrifying and super realistic (especially for arcade multiplayer game). P.S. I'm so glad that this masterpiece is still living in heart of Battlefield fans. I played BF 2 (also 1942 and Vietnam and BC2) and I like old-fashioned Battlefiend. Grounded, arcade but realistic, that shows war, not some playground with rainbow helicopters and ponies. Hope you like my comment, thank you very much. ❤

Been playing on and off. During the dark times there were (and still are) couple of clan servers with great moderation. Cheaters got kicked very fast. Other servers were a nightmare to play though.

If you are on steam you can play around with the controller emulation thing it has, otherwise you can try ds4win. I wanted to use a ps4 controller for bf4 before steam had those features and I couldn't get it to work but I didn't care much so I gave up quickly, but good luck.

I definitely think they could go 80-100 player count, I think the main issue 128 was a disaster is simply because it was with 2042 and it wouldn’t have been nearly as bad on other titles. That being said I still think 128 was too much regardless.

0:10 yeah, I get why some might not play it. Personally, I’ve encountered either glitches or hacks. I shot a dude with a shotgun multiple times like 5 feet away and it didn’t even do anything, no damage fine at all. I’ve also been sniped through the dirt and full on boulder that at the angle the other person was at, would make it impossible.

I love using the Arisaka on Cape Helles. For some reason, I seem to one-shot everyone with it! I don't think I've ever tried it on Amiens-I usually stick to the Gewehr 95 Marksman or the Martini-Henry Infantry there. But I'll definitely give the Arisaka a shot next time I'm on Amiens

The more players you get , the more difficult are chokepoint to design I believe and maps in general .. 32 v 32 work perfectly , for me in the actual state of the franchise it's better to be back on something that work :)
