The worst to me are those match losing team mates that just use the tanks to snipe. So annoying and they 9 times out of 10 lose the game just by being selfish. Tanks are meant for pushing with infantry back up.

@@Marvininini Yeah but in most of these servers the admins are either r blind/don't play that often or just don't care. I mostly play on 200% dmg server where the artillery truck, heavy bomber, Vehicle camping and m1917 mg is banned, and in every single game the same guy either camps on the maps border with artillery truck (or if in amiens or other citymap) camps in places where you can't get behind him. Heavy bombers aren't that effective in this server since the plane spawns, it's shot down before it can release it's bombs on effective area.

I've been playing on PC almost daily since launch, and honestly, I haven't had major issues with cheaters. Yeah, they were around, but in my experience, it wasn't that bad. I usually joined servers with admins who handled them pretty quickly. If there were no admins, I’d just leave and hop into another match-there are plenty of full servers, at least in Europe.

Same for me. Even in BF V I didn't notice cheaters were a major problem before update. They usually farmed only on Operation Underground.

Yeah I’ve played consistently on pc since 2021 and I have only ever encountered 2-3 cheaters on U.S servers. None of the community servers had any cheaters and they had the same configuration and progression of official servers so the game was thriving. The anti cheat is definitely appreciated though

Hopped on BF1 this weekend and glad i did. The WW1Elite servers were full and it was refreshing to be able to play some of the DLC maps (Fort Deveaux, Verdun Heights, Caporetto, Achi Babba, Tsartsyn, and River Somme). Servers were full all weekend and had a blast playing diff maps.

For those thinking that BF1 is infested with hackers, it is not, there are but only in public servers and there are actually plenty of private servers with most of them having 5+ players in queue to join. There are many games to play with no invisible spawn camping hackers until EA wakes up. It's easier to program and better for the servers if the game's player count are a power of 2 like 64 or 128. If you have a player count of say 80, you're practically using the same amount of space in memory as a server with 128 players.

People who hate on the artillery truck are actually so dumb. Its a tool for area denial and its an ARTILLERY piece so of course its not gonna be on the front line smh. The more players the less impact you have on the match. Therfore i think 64 is good. Variation in map sizes, and perhaps adding more maps instead would be a good alternative for me.

I very recently got my PC upgraded, not only to get better performance, but because I wanted to play games like Battlefield 1 again. I've had this itch for awhile to play it again, and finally started playing it again a few days ago. And dude, OMFG how i've missed this game soo much, holy shit. I don't even really care that i'm not at all used to playing BF1 on mouse and keyboard, I always played it on PS4 back in the day. I'm just having soo much fun taking in the gameplay, the atmosphere, the sounds. And the music is just chef's kiss. I'm not sure if this is by default or by chance, but every time the game boots up, it plays "Lacrimosa" from the Apocalypse DLC. Considering that was one of, if not my actual favourite pieces of music from the game, it's like the game is consciously reminding me why I love Battlefield 1 soo much and why it's one of my favourite games in general. This really was the last great Battlefield imo

hardest achivement to get in BF1 nowadays is using every turning tides weapon since you have to do 20 flag capture using boats to unlock naval cutlass. and it's kinda hard to search a turning tides server.

Been playing on and off. During the dark times there were (and still are) couple of clan servers with great moderation. Cheaters got kicked very fast. Other servers were a nightmare to play though.

you just can tell if this game came out now, in order to play it at 4k high settings 60 fps you'd need a 4090 and dlss quality. The fact that this 8 year old game is able to run at 4k on my 30 series graphics at stable 60 fps, while looking like a piece of art, is astounding. Nowadays you need a 4000$ pc setup to run games with all bells and whistles enabled

They are all powers of two. 8v8, 16v16, 32v32 (64 players). I do remember Team Deathmatch that was 24v24, but that one one game mode on one of the BFs. I don't even remember. Maybe BF4

Definitely one of the best multiplayer experiences I've had, and one of my favorite games of all time. It's nice to see they introduced anti cheat, but I don't think I'm going to return to the game. It has a special place in my heart, but I've moved on. I don't want to taint my experience by trying to re live the last.

this game just can't die, it's too good, it's got simulation and arcade, the best of both worlds. A crazy immersion that if you turn off the HUD believe me you feel the trauma of war, it's fun, it's enjoyable with friends or alone, it has everything to stay active and enjoyable, it just needs proper attention like security updates, upgrades, content every so often it doesn't have to be so often just an incentive and eventual game modes for specific dates and believe me with things like this it will never die.
