Sheldon overlooks the fact that Lesley thinks Loop Quantum Gravity better unites quantum mechanics with general relativity than the String Theory.

Lennard nailed it "let them choose with their own mind" and she is like "this is a deal breaker" and i am like " i know, she is a tyrant in a dress". She is willing to force her children to abide to her blind beliefs, and some would have done it anyway, but the intelligent ones would never do it without confirming it before they do. But what are the chances an intelligent child makes it out of her grasp with any intelligence left? Next to none if the child don't have help, like from the father.

String theory’s not bad. It’s supposed to be a field that a lot of scientists hope will unify all the fundamental forces of the universe and find a 1 inch long equation that will explain the theory of everything. Stephen Hawking and Michio Kaku hav studied it. So I’d go with Leonard on this one.

Ah, seriously? Loop quantum gravity will unify everything if gravity finally gets quantised . String theory proves nothing new, just goes on board with whatever's already known. If string theory makes more sense to you than loop quantum gravity, u are doomed. 🙏
@liamdavis20683 жыл бұрын
Mmmm, string theory may go on board with what is already known but it advances it because to start off, Einstein’s equations breakdown at the instant of the Big Bang or at the center of a blackhole, string theory is a higher theory that helps with that and it takes you before the Big Bang by saying there is a multiverse. It helps define what a Big Bang is which is the collision or separation of two universes. (Think of the universe as a soap bubble). Have you watched Michio Kaku? I have heard of the proposal to quantify gravity and that’s interesting. According to Jim Baggot, It’s not an attempt to find the theory of everything, just to find a quantum theory of gravity. And Hey if Loop quantum gravity proves the existence of antigravity, then I’m in.

@@liamdavis2068 I don't get why a lot of scientists cling on to Superdeterminism while the mystery of entanglement CAN be explained by the Superstring Theory, there is nothing better in math to explain such mystery. @aaronphillips41279 жыл бұрын
VoterColonel Sebastian Doyle ??Says who? I haven't seen any evidence of this. In fact, run 2 of the LHC is expecting to create mini-black holes which would appear in another dimension, thus giving us a view of another universe. Type 1 and/or Type 2a string theory. I don't mean the many worlds interpretation of quantum theory where every quantum possibility is actualized, I mean a real physical other universe..separated by a higher dimensional spacetime. Loop quantum gravity does make some interesting ideas, particularly what it does with singularities. But I think it unifies only parts of quantum mechanics with general relativity.

All the tests for BOTH theories have come up with no evidence. LQG predicts light of different frequencies moves at different speeds and that black holes should explode; some versions of string theory predict supersymmetric particles, universally slightly curved spacetime, or leaking of the gravitational force over large distances. Experiments have looked for all these things for years and found nothing.

I would love to see your mathematics. Plus you seem to demonstrate a fundamental misunderstanding that String Theory and LQG are two competing theories. They explain two different things Megatom...come on. String Theory is a candidate for the unification of the 4-fundamental forces of nature and the force mitigating particles that govern them...and LQG is a candidate for the merging of quantum field theory and general relativity. String Theory says nothing about the quantized curvature of the spacetime fabric and LQG says nothing about the fundamental particles and the fundamental forces. They are two separate entities. Common misunderstanding in the non-science community.
@aaronphillips41279 жыл бұрын
Megatom graviton bubble theory eh? do go on. gravitons are thus far unproven to definitely exist. i assume by bubble you mean a multiverse where each universe is a sort of expanding soap bubble that we are stuck on? not too sure what you mean by your last part. the universe could have structure going on infinitely - what do you mean exactly? that this 1 universe is infinite? seems kind of like you're contradicting yourself. don't rely on BBT to teach you physics. do your own research into each theory (the internet has tens of thousands of resources on both - you just need to actually spend time reading and thinking) and then rewatch. The jokes are subtle yet intelligent.

+James Benton Ticer You are extremely wrong. Quantum Gravity describes the unification of General Relativity and Quantum Field theories. Quantum Field theories can be used to describe three of four fundamental forces, the strong interaction, weak interaction and Electromagnetism. they can all be desvribed by several quantum field theories. So, a unification of GR with QFts is the same as a unification of four forces. So Stringtheory and LQG describe the same things. Stringtheory can also be used to describe Quanvum Field theories on curved Spacetime and LQG can also be used to describe several particles, so youre wrong here, too.

I guess a lot of biologists, geologists, paleontologists, linguists or psychologists have no idea on what the hell is the string theory or the loop quantum gravity. On the other hand, most physicists will have no idea on fundamental theories in Geology, Paleontology, Evolutionary Biology, Zoology, Linguistics or Psychology. Common misunderstandings in the Physics community.

No it encompasses a lot of ideas, but the aim of any Quantum theory of Gravity is to unite Relativity and Quantum mechanics when they break down. Now General Relativity is a theory of Gravity which describes gravity as curvature of Spacetime, since we want to break Gravity into something more fundamental we thus have to break Spacetime into something more fundamental. This makes sense when we consider Loop-Quantum Gravity; it says that Spacetime is produced by underlying spin foam.

@blenderpanzi I truely admire Gödel's theorems. But even incompleteness has its own beauty and preciseness. Still, any shown statement remains true forever with or without incompleteness, and incompleteness doesn't kill preciseness of mathematics, i.e. the rules of reasoning are preserved while deriving results from definitions.
