BEST WINNER REACTION YET! August's Thunder Bay 50/50 WINNER!

This August, we celebrated our furry friends during the “Dog Days of Summer,” and now Samantha Woods from Geraldton, Ontario has reason to celebrate too! She received the famous “Glenn Craig” phone call today, officially welcoming her to the Thunder Bay 50/50 millionaires club, winning August’s jackpot of $2,210,338. This marks our 12th consecutive millionaire in a row.
“I bought tickets because of the 'Dog Days of Summer,' and with having four dogs myself, I thought it might bring us some luck. I was hoping maybe I’d win one of the early bird prizes, but never expected the jackpot,” says Samantha who currently works as PSW at the Geraldton District Hospital. Regarding her new multi-millionaire status, Samantha plans to pay off the rest of her debts, invest, and help out her sisters to start.
“Introducing the summer bonus ticket and early bird draws every weekday in August created a new level of excitement,” says Glenn Craig, President and CEO of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. With so many draws, we had a lot of calls to make - yes we personally call each and every winner! It was uplifting to hear their excitement and gratitude, even if they weren’t the grand prize winner. These personal connections make our lottery special and highlight the positive impact we’re making together.”
