Victor is an ICON of this franchise. He is a master class and handled this press conference with grace and professionalism. I just wish the questions were more centered on Victor’s extension and not Stamkos’ departure.

First, we love ya Heddy and glad your staying! OMG, reporters, stop with the questions regarding Stammer and Sergy. The first one was okay, but the rest of you all dont need to be repetitive. I know it’s difficult to say but an aging goal scorer like Stamkos is easier to replace than a 6’7 two way Norris caliber defenseman so prioritizing Herman is the right move

We are all hurting along with Heddy regarding Stammer no longer being a Bolt. Knowing Victor got a 4 year extension though is a blessing for all of Tampa!

Personally, I wished Stamkos stayed and Hedman can go. All the homers hang onto him like he was a god or something. I saw many many plays that were below average standards. Many times he was behind the net, being the only D man down there and leaving Vasilevskiy to fend for himself. I see him moving slowly many times, not with gumption. I don't see him, and at HIS size, even hit other players (extremely rarely). I feel he'd rather be a forward rather than defenseman. I hate what they did to Stamkos, feel it was extremely disrespectful on Brisbois' part. Well, the proof is in the pudding and we'll see what events but what I say is Karma is a you-know-what!

I know it sucks Stammer is gone, but the first half of last year we saw his lack of production, his liability on defense and why he wasn't worth a giant extension. I think JBB made a very hard move, but it needed to be done.

Stammer deal could have been done with future considerations and other money options created by the OWNER Vinik....................it's just sad, BUT everyone needs to remember that 'The Great One' was traded, Joe Montana was traded and eventually Brady was traded, so just suck it up and FOCUS ALL YOUR ENERGY INTO GETTING BRISBOIS OUSTED! heeheheheheheheheh
