LGOH # 474 - The secret trick to get MASSIVE damage! (Inquisition's Edge Event)

It's probably not too much of a secret, but definitely is a trick that I have not had a chance to showcase much. With this team though, you can use this single trick to easily get multi-quadrillion damage!

If you add more damage boosters, you'll get more damage. Personally, I'm only using the UF and 4 damage boosting cards

I'm using exact team and relics in same order as you but on guild radiant bosses I end up having 2 shields, do you know why that is?

Ultimate bosses have 6 shields, while guild radiant bosses have 7 shields, so you’d need to modify your relic set up to break 6 shields when you attack guild radiants. Keep in mind that some ultimate relics would break additional shields if there are more ultimate form cards in your team. Just need to make sure you get 6 shield breakers total and you’ll be good

I foresee a future patch where shields won't be ignored during a gem crush and drop to the bottom. Just to ruin the innovation that the players come up with. This happened when we had lots of fun mixing and matching different affinity decks. n3twork couldn't handle that older cards were now useful. Forever decks is not a thing LGOH is supposed to have. That's definitely also why this deck converts all other power gems, just to completely destroy that option.

But shields already drop during gem crush. I actually think the opposite could happen and make shields stationary so they will stay wherever the spawn for the whole battle.

@@khanwilliamdeep8728 but shields don't drop during a gem crush since a gem crush can't happen in their column. Shields drop when you do your attack and gems below it disappear. Then you have to move it back up again, to get it positioned for another big attack(if the boss is still alive). What I meant was n3twork will find a way to make gem crush happen through shields, so there won't be these kinds of work arounds. So when a gem crush happens, the shield will be pushed down and you'll get your line of power gems in the middle, as they intended(boring), with no super power boost with the seperated power gems around the board. Or they'll do as you suggested. Shields being stuck wherever they spawn, so it's all down to luck on the start of the fight :|

This works because when gem crush was introduced, the upgraded power gems make a bigger impact to the overall damage calculation. The damage formula uses both gems matched, as well as any additional power gems that are not part of the connected chains. The biggest damage comes when the additional gems are not part of a 3+ chain, but rather as individual power gems. Using the shield trick, you end up with multiple sections where there are only 2 power gems, so when you do the power gem swap, all those clusters of power gems are used to boost the overall power and multiplier for bigger damage

Hi tbone, this trick only apply to master Collection n ultra. If you have only 2 support card and 1 relic it will not work. Personally to me, it's not a trick, it's a "gift" to "whale" player that willing to spend hundreds of dollars for this event.

You’ll only see me showcase these types of videos during fire events because I can only save up enough coins for a full team after waiting until the fire event. I haven’t spent a penny on this game for a very long time now, so while this isn’t something feasible for other events, is actually doable for F2P during fire commander events, if you save up your seasonal coins and only use it for UF at the end of the season.
