A beautiful Tagalog (Filipino) school anthem! I remember singing "UP Beloved!" in English, when I left in 1959. When was the Tagalog version (UP Naming Mahal) implemented?

It might have been in the early 70's. I was in Diliman in 1976 and UP Naming Mahal was the only version being sung at that time.

++jjfonacier the anthem still retains its English roots. It starts with UP -- pronounced "you pea" the English way -- instead of UP (pronounced "ooh pah" the Tagalog way). BTW, my English Professor in UP was a Mrs. Fonacier -- your Lola perhaps?
