Many Filipinos started legal by entering legally with the right documents. Since many of them had relatives in US who helped them they were encouraged to stay past their visit due dates. Many have successfully found employers who were willing to sponsor them or found mates who later petitioned them. Those stories are common in US and they are happy that they had taken that route. Most Filipinos in US are good workers. They became illegal at some point but most of them found ways to become legal and became US citizens. I would not look down on them. American employers love them because of their good work ethics.

The issue of illegal immigrants is much more complicated and US Citizens have taken sides, the legal argument of course it that they are in the word itself "illegal", ,however with millions of them being planned to be deported the consequences is far greater. For instance economic as they too pay tax, are consumers of products and services, employed in very low paying jobs many Americans won't do, as well as family separation from relatives and friends, their removal will have an inflationary effect as the jobs they do may have to be filled with higher wages if possible or go on unfilled if there is no one who will take them, either way the effect is inflationary meaning the price of goods will go up, inflation which was the deciding factor in the last election cycle here in the USA have voted to take care of this issue yet the policy being pursued that of mass deportation will probably lead to that very problem itself, inflation. Another issue is that of diversity and race, is this a ploy of white supremacy groups to lessen the diversity of the country, if you are white or a minority, how will this affect you. In the case of this forum, how will you being a Filipino be affected if the policy is discriminatory and racist. Where you may stand on this issue may be simple for some however it is truly a much more complex situation and I have just probably just touched the iceberg on this topic. And if you're comparing the USA and the Philippines to come to a conclusion on where you stand, well in my opinion USA is not the Philippines as what may apply there may not neccessarily be accurate here.
@michellepeckham461014 сағат бұрын
Most of America doesn’t care about race. They just want to live the American dream. The illegals are making it very hard to do that. They are a drain on the resources of any city. They being deported won’t cause inflation. Inflation was caused by this administration giving out too much money during Covid era. Economics- too much printed money chasing few goods add to the policy of not producing our own gas. The current government wants illegals to dilute the red states so they can stay in power forever.

Where do you find that law that illegal immigrants have due process? :)
@visitacioncastro5867Күн бұрын
It seems like you need to do a lot of research about this matter. Yes, they undergo appointment with an immigration judge who then gives them the final order of deportation My patients went through this due process before they were deported(which took another several months). It is very costly for the government to deport someone.

Even if they pass an amendment to the Constitution in the US Congress to end birthright citizenship, I don't think there aren't enough states that will vote to ratify it.

Paano po yan na pumasok na tourist tas nag asawa ng Us citizen tas nag divorce , tas nag Us citizen na tas nag asawa ng Cano , ano ang tawag sa kanya niya Illigal pa ba eh Us citizen na ?
@zenaidanavalta-wright3102 күн бұрын
Walang argument on that, Kung naging green card holder siya or got her citizenship before the divorce. She can marry any US citizen she wants. The only problem is if she was a mail in bride, through her supposed husband to be, he have to apply for her green card. There's a time period in order for her to become green card holder after marriage. Some women married for convenience. After they got in US, married the man, then short time later she'll divorce him, then the man will go after her through the immigration and cancel the application for her green card and be deported.

@@zenaidanavalta-wright310- I want to add something to what you said . If the woman who married a US citizen was still a green card holder and have a baby born in the US , and divorce the husband while still waiting for her green card , She cant be deported because she was protected by her child that was born in USA . Either you reported to the Immigration that she left the husband for another man , the Immigration will not deport her . Been there , done that . Lots of unscrupulous women nowadays ! Cant trust anyone.
