the star wars universe has aliens of all forms meeting freely, while in the star trek universe, most of the inter alien meetings happen in the federation, a space navy. and as seen in one of tng episodes, most of the anthromorphic species in the star trek universe are related, so most of the alien interaction in the different star trek shows are between distant cousins. The expanded star wars universe is still going back through history to find the origins of the jedi and the sith

I love Star Wars I would kick whoever was the Star Trek sides but
