I thought Zach's analogy was very clear. I quite liked it. Zach's list was all basic stuff. If you don't demand that, aim higher. And if you can't live up to the basic stuff, stay single. Furthermore, when you hurt someone, you don't get to tell someone when they have to be over it, ESPECIALLY as you continue to exhibit the bad behavior. Michaela didn't do one thing, Michaela didn't do 2 things. And, yes, if you keep doing something, or if I keep doing something my partner doesn't like, I expect it to be a recurring issue in our relationship. Michaela's apologies don't mean anything, if she doesn't change the behavior. She admitted she cancelled the party to be petty. She gets no pass from me. I don't believe anyone would encourage a friend to stay in a situation where the partner blows up/overreacts, regularly, leaving them to walk on eggshells, after a couple of weeks. We'd tell our friend to RUN!! Just like any issue, even if you get over it, the second someone does the same thing again, you're back where you were the first time they broke trust. So, that is why Zach can't move on. My issue with Zach is going to be staying. If he is uncomfortable with Michaela, and it is understandable, it needs to be nipped in the bud soon.

Agree. I dated a guy who I ended up having to walk on eggshells with…not because he would blow up but he was very sensitive and would stop talking to me for weeks if he was mad. I was miserable and could only deal with him for 3 months. A couple of people encouraged me to stay with him which pissed me off. As far as Micheala and Zack, he was frustrated on this past episode because he said he called Micheala to talk to her and she told him not to call her. That’s why they were still talking about handling conflict. Y’all have to remember that they’ve only spent a short amount of time together. If I was dating Micheala I would be turned off by the blow ups and passive aggressiveness. It’s hard to get over that sometimes. Zack isn’t perfect and slightly annoying lol but I believe he’s trying.

Zach shut down and he’s not willing to tolerate Michaela’s volatility. Michaela overreacted and it was too much. Not everyone is willing to deal with that. She cussed him out clean within 3 days!! He definitely could have communicated his whereabouts, but her reaction was irrational. She moved out because she thought he moved out?? Who would stay with someone cursing you out and acting like that-and you have no history, and it’s the opposite of how she was on day 1 and day 2? He sees red flags. If the genders were reversed, we would not encourage a woman to work it out with a man cursing and behaving erratically because most of us see how easily something like that can escalate. I also think a lot more has happened behind the scenes with them and with production that will come out later and give us more context. I hope the best for each of them, but this show needs to offer individual counseling too to help the cast deal with things that come up as a result of being in this experiment.

I still think there is a VERY big double standard with Zach and Michaela. It's not necessarily immature what Zach is doing in this situation. The situation is NOT OVER. He's not rebringing something up it's an ongoing issue. She's still handling things in a petty way like the phone call and making him be in person. ** That was her opportunity to respond better that you guys were saying didn't happen.** And you guys spoke about him “doing no wrong” or trying to make her feel bad etc. Yet, in this episode he specifically asked what HE was doing wrong AND asked how to fix it in the future. He said he reflects on stuff and wants to prevent stuff in the future. ***That's looking for a solution *** in response 1. Michaela ONLY said he needs to communicate more. Which doesn't make as much sense because she doesn't listen to understand when he tries. She hasn't been listening as he explains what goes on in his head, she didn't listen when he said he needed space (she visibly zoned out), she said she understood the bee analogy but then didn't reference the problem at all, she keeps saying he never apologized for the miscommunication which he did, he said he was getting rid of his list etc and she ignored that and took the list as a red flag, when he was in his apartment he called to talk to her and she didn't want to talk only text... You guys didn't like the analogy but it came because he KEEPS saying things and she's not getting it or isn't listening (could be either). It seems like another instance of Michaela saying something that sounds mature and right but not necessarily abiding by it (like saying she doesn't leave or that she's a great communicator). Talking more wouldn't have even necessarily fixed the attachment about the dog stuff since according to him he answered her texts and gave her the plan the day before so she'd know where he was in the morning. 🧐 I also have to bring anxiety back. I still think it's being downplayed. When you're anxious you're not only anxious about what could happen but often also how you are perceived etc. You want people to understand your thought process. Hence why Zach is always framing what he's upset about with context. “It's a because of 1,2,3 I think _____.” That's not guilty tripping. He's not looking for an apology on what she's already apologized for. He wants to get on the same page about what's making him uncomfortable and they aren't there. That's why last episode he said “things don't have to be resolved.” he wanted them both to understand the problem so they could talk about how to fix it ( I believe Tank called contradictory last episode but not so imo). Long story short do they both need to grow, sure. But Michaela's actions have been contradictory and aggressive and it keeps popping up. That's not one red flag it's several.

You are giving her too much grace, and finding too many excuses for her shitty behavior. Last season , you were all screaming for Paige to leave Chris. Now, you think that Zack can't let things go? If the roles were reversed you would be calling this abuse.She is abusive, manipulative and selfish, and even borderline narcissistic. The four of you would NEVER want your sons to be in such a dysfunctional relationship, with someone that mean- spirited. None of you would be willing to put up with that kind of behavior from anyone, whether it's someone you just met, married or not, so why should Zack? I applaud him for standing his grounds and trying to set boundaries. It's not his responsibility to stick around and fix Michaela. He deserves better and should have never been put in that situation. I am not an expert and I can tell something is off with Michaela . How did the show's experts miss that? They did the same thing with Chris last season. Maybe they don't know what they're doing and should just call it a day. Sorry for the rant, but I find the double standard frustrating and I am a woman. Exactly. The reason Zach keeps bringing up the issue is because the issue hasn't been resolved. She keeps acting nutso. Her just saying, "Damn, I said sorry!" and expecting him to move on is ridiculous. She's cursing him out, playing mind games, and going into rages. The girl has the nickname Hurricane K for crying out loud! This is nothing new for her. It's also pretty clear from the sit down with Pastor Cal that her anger is a trauma response. Learning how to deal with trauma and manage one's anger takes years of therapy and hard work to resolve. At no point has Michaela even acknowledged that she has a problem with her anger, let alone commit to going to therapy to resolve the issue. It's unrealistic and problematic for anyone to expect Zach to continue putting up with how she treats him.

Michaela is always contradicting herself which is very annoying and confusing. Zach is just over it. Like legit her own friends said she’s testing him over and over again. She said don’t wake me up then got mad that he didn’t wake her when he left. She acted like she didn’t want to be touched then tells the pastor she actually wanted to be touched. She canceled the housewarming party and then changed her mind all of the sudden. I would’ve been told him to run so I don’t understand how he’s just supposed to let stuff go when she’s ready to test him at any moment. Top all that with the cussing him out and moving out of spite.....Zach abort mission!
